19.01.2022 Joshua Liston, a carpentry apprentice from Sebastopol, was one of three apprentices from the Ballarat region to be awarded for their dedication, skill and hard work at the Master Builders’ Ballarat Section Training Provider Awards held at the Mercure Hotel and Convention Centre, Ballarat on Thursday, 5 March 2020. Joshua received the Chairman’s Award. The other two winners were Dylan Rethus, a carpentry apprentice from Horsham (Apprentice of the Year) and carpenter Zachery Louder from Ararat (Employer-nominated Award).

19.01.2022 Over 100 members and their families, friends and colleagues enjoyed a relaxing evening at the annual MBAB Christmas Party. The committee of Masterchefs cooked a great range of barbecued food whilst children had their faces beautifully painted, delighted in lots of pony rides, bounced in the jumping castle and liked their visit by Santa.

16.01.2022 The annual MBAB Christmas Party will be held at the rotunda opposite the tram museum, Wendouree Lake Foreshore, on Friday 22 Nov from 5.30 - 7.30 pm. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and come along and enjoy a bbq with drinks whilst the children have fun with face painting, jumping castle, pony rides and a visit from Santa. 16.01.2022 MBAB Annual Golf Day will be held on Friday, 19 March 2021 at Mt. Xavier Golf and Bowling Club. All profits from the day will be used to conduct mental health events for local tradies. 10.01.2022 Study Tour of GovHub by Dean Stevens on behalf of the Kane Nicholson Joint Venture followed by dinner at the Golden City Hotel. Guest speaker Bill Mundy from Federation TAFE. Corrie Williams from MBAV shared industry updates. Presentations to new Members by President Stuart Allen.

01.01.2022 Variety Bash Vic were invited along as guests to our recent Daylesford section meeting. MBAB presented a donation of $1500 to go towards Variety charity and their hard work. The Variety Bash Vic president Ken Pryor attended along with some of their entrants and gave us an insight of the history and fundraising and some great stories. MBAB committee member Michael Brooks is a regular Bash entrant and would really recommend the experience. There was even a caricature of our esteemed vice president and honorary bush driver on one of the vehicles; can see the likeness!!
