16.01.2022 What a top day on the water for the running of the rescheduled Cowan Marathon! We had 14 entrants, eight in Division 1 and six in Division 2, with 45 sailors in total. Chris and his crew came to visit from TSCQ on GERONIMO, who proved to be a very slippery Elliot 7. They sailed beautifully, coming in 8 minutes ahead on handicap in DIV 1.... I hope you guys can make it back for future events. Dale on CATALINA took out 2nd place overall but will receive the Pennant trophy at our Sailing Section awards night in July. Sadly, our visitors arent eligible for that one. Craig on ROOGER came up trumps in DIV 2, with ZINGARA and ABOUT TIME following. The chop and low winds halving the finishers in the shorter course. Luckily the bar was cool and well stocked to refresh some wilted sailors at the end of a hot day. See you all for the next one. Check out the calendar on the MBBC website for documents etc. http://mbbc.org.au/sailing-events-calendar/ Or just keep a watch here #lifeisgoodattheboatclub

07.01.2022 The MBBC Lady Skipper race is coming up on Sunday Feb 24th. While we have women on helm and crewing most races of the year, this is a great way to actively promote and encourage more involvement. So if you aren't lucky enough to already have a 'Lady Skipper' in your crew I guess you better start looking!... http://mbbc.org.au/events/lady-skipper-day/

02.01.2022 Hi all, Congratulations to the nine boats that participated in the 2018 Tony Caulfield memorial Mud Island Marathon, held on Sunday 11th November. The following is a note from Tonys son, John.... It was obvious that Tony Caulfield was looking down on us all for the Mud Island Marathon and he made sure all the boats racing had perfect weather. The breeze started at a gentle 10 knots southerly then slowly built to around 18 knots South East. As a family we would like to thank all the competitors who raced in the Tony Caulfield Memorial Mud Island marathon. Tonys favourite drink was rum and coke so we thought it would be most appropriate to donate a collectors bottle of rum as a lucky sail draw and the recipient of this was Ben Bracco - it was good to see Ben win it as he knew Tony very well. Thanks again to all those who participated - you helped to make our day very special. John and Debra Caulfield JO-DE 7 And the results are as follows. All prizes will be awarded at our EOY function in July. Except Bennys, he is enjoying that already!

01.01.2022 Results of the 2019 Fairway Challenge are up! Thanks to all that entered this year and congratulations to all those who took home an envelope. Thanks to All Car... Wholesale for their generous support and to all the volunteers who put in the hours of work to make this event happen. We hope you enjoyed sailing with us in northern Moreton Bay. See you again next year. http://xst3xwesfq1cskqc36ywcq8g.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com//2 See more
