Would you believe it - since 1990 you’ve given kindness and cuddles to more than 1 million children. ...Find out more about the value a teddy brings here: https://fal.cn/3bLIL Over 30 years, volunteer knitters have spent a mind-blowing 7.5 million hours hours knitting Trauma Teddies. Today there are more than 600 volunteer knitters in 75 groups knitting around 50,000 Teddies a year. A huge thank you to all our volunteers who knit kindness all around Australia. Over the years Teddies have comforted countless children in hospitals and ambulances fleeing bushfires, floods or cyclones arriving as refugees And travelled overseas after the New York September 2001 attacks to children in the Philippines, Syria, Bali and Bosnia and toured the 2012 London Olympics

The underground spaghetti of pipes and wires makes this job a ...challenge, but the team are working on providing the best outcome we can achieve within the budget. Works will ramp up on the site in the New Year following the fabrication of the materials to suit the final footing locations. See more

07.01.2022 ONE WEEK TO GO Christmas is a time of giving and we at Mission Beach Community Bank are asking the local community to dig deep and donate. We are looking ...to donate food hampers to our local State school for needy families that reside in Mission Beach. All we ask is that when you are shopping at Woolies to grab a little extra non perishable food items suitable for the Christmas period. It can be a hard time for struggling families and we want to lighten the financial load by donating a Christmas food hamper. The Mission Beach State School will hand out the hampers to local families in need of community support at the end of term in December. We will be collecting food items from 1st Nov- 3rd of Dec. If you would like to help please pop into the branch and put your non perishable food items under our Christmas tree
