22.01.2022 Heartfelt Thanks From Miss Handley :-) Hello everyone! There was a glitch with the first upload of this video, so fingers crossed for this second attempt. For those of you who missed it: As you would be aware, Miss Handley celebrated the very special occasion of her 90th birthday earlier this year. She has expressed her concern that she has not had the energy to respond personally to everyone who made great efforts to call, write, send gifts and attend her special birthday ...functions, and so we both hope that this video reaches every single person who she would like to express her gratitude to. Enjoy :-)

21.01.2022 Frocking Up! A certain bunch of Old Girls will be gathering together this Saturday night to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their graduation. I do hope they make as big an effort (all "big hair" references intentional) as they did at their 1987 formal ;-)

19.01.2022 A surprise from the vault... One of the aspects of this job that I adore is never quite knowing what will appear while you are searching for something quite different in the collection! I have been poring through some detailed architects files of late, and discovered a single page with a hand-drawn version of the College Crest, created by none other than Mr Ken Waller himself in 1983!... What do you think? Did he miss his calling as an artist? :D

19.01.2022 Founders Day - Celebrating The Spoken Arts At our annual Founders Day Assembly, to be held on 25 July, we will be celebrating The Spoken Arts (Debating and Public Speaking), and all the ways in which MBC girls have been educated to speak clearly and intelligently. In the lead up to our annual celebration of our schools rich history, I am sharing some MBC images, paired with some wonderful quotes that reflect the power of the spoken word. Enjoy :-) Knowledge is embodied in people gathered in communities and networks. The road to knowledge is via people, conversations, connections and relationships. Knowledge surfaces through dialogue, all knowledge is socially mediated and access to knowledge is by connecting to people that know or know who to contact. - Denham Grey, Knowledge Management Expert

11.01.2022 Pinch! Punch! First Day of the Month! :D Happy first day of the month, everyone! On the first day of each month, I am sharing a photo taken at MBC on the same date, different year, with the occasional creative twist as required ;-)... This photo, taken on 1 November 2012, shows retiring Head of Students, Mrs Jan Unsworth, receiving a special rendition of To Sir With Love, sung by the Seniors at their final assembly. I have two questions: 1. Girls who were there, did you sing To Maam With Love?!? 2. How could this have been five years ago already?!?

05.01.2022 Tantalising Treasures! If you are planning on visiting the College this coming Monday for the OGAs 100th Anniversary Homecoming celebrations (which, lets face it, of course you are), please drop in and say hello at the Founders Room.
