13.01.2022 A lot of people say to me why would I need to do a chainsaw course, I have been using chainsaws for years and I have never had an issue... Unfortunately this is why we recommend people undertake training and refresher training on an ongoing basis. Man Flown To Hospital After Chainsaw Incident... A man has been injured in a chainsaw incident south of Ipswich. Paramedics were called to a private property in Boonah at about 8am on Tuesday morning. Queensland Ambulance paramedics said a patient was being assessed for significant arm injuries following an incident involving a chainsaw. The man was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition. Chainsaw safety tips to keep you safe. - Before attempting to do anything with the chainsaw, read the manual: - ensure that all safety features are fitted and operational before starting to saw, that all nuts, covers, etc. are secure - when cross cutting or pruning, check if any branches are under tension before cutting - seek advice and or training in the use of the chainsaw many accidents are the result of ignorance - always wear the recommended protective clothing.
