11.01.2022 Tonight's post began as a philosophical conversation between my brother and I in regards to the word TRY. Anyone that has spent time with me will know this word is my number one irritant in life. This is the quote he posed on Facebook... "I'm trying.I'm trying to get better. I'm trying to be happy. I'm trying to stay focused. I'm trying not to get upset. I'm trying not to overreact. I'm trying not to overthink. All i can do is try. No one is perfect. Don't expect me to be."... Now I ask you... Try to drop a pen, try to stop breathing, try to turn the tide. You either can or you cant. You either do it or you don't. You are either happy or not at that particular moment. Life is full of choices,what we do with that choice is absolutely up to you. I choose to be better. I choose to stay focused. I choose not to get upset. I choose not to overact. I choose not to overthink. ... or i choose to DO those things. There is so much more power and control in your life if YOU CHOOSE. Try does not exist! Doing SOMETHING is 100% better than doing nothing. You either change your thoughts or not, its your CHOICE. Its your choice to change the direction of your life... or not. It is YOUR choice to become a better version or the real you or go the easier path and continue on as you have been with the persona you have CHOSEN to create. It ALWAYS comes back to choice. Making change takes a hell of a lot of energy. Trying takes but a moments energy, but in the long run achieves nothing. Breaking down the steps is the most energy efficient way of changing. 1.Work out what is important to you. 2. work out what if anything needs changing. 3. Find ways to actually make the change. 4. Get a VERY clear mental picture of how life will look, feel and sound. Write it down, tell your loved ones, make it as if it has already happened. This picture is what will get you through when life throws up challenges to change. 5. Follow through with actually making the changes. 6. KEEP GOING and KEEP MAKING CHOICES!
