25.01.2022 From the Gut project, one of my all time quick easy favourites AND super tasty - Thanks Jess ! Iodine rich snack for the thyroid.... Iodine is a vital macronutrient needed for thyroid function. Kelp is one of the best (if not the best) sources of iodine. It doesn’t have an over-powering taste like seaweed and is versatile. It can be used in smoothies, juices, porridge or can be sprinkled straight on top of food. This particular kelp is garlic infused and is grown in Australia by @mbkelp. I add this to my lunch or snacks and I add the pure (unflavoured kelp) to my smoothies every day to support my thyroid as I suffer from slight hypothyroidism (and I’m healing it naturally, of course!) Kelp is also rich in calcium, zinc & magnesium, all of which play important roles in the body.

24.01.2022 Really excited to be included in the Taste Eurobodalla local producers initiative supported by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Had a really fun afternoon with Paul West and crew showing them around Mystery Bay & talking about what we do. Paul created a super healthy delish salad infused with mbK Garlic Infusion overlooking Gulaga from our family farm Figtree ... Was a highlight for Cody to meet Paul AND Digger the dog! Thanks guys, really appreciate your support amd interest in our mbK story and products supporting local regional producers.

23.01.2022 Yikes, thought it was getting stronger!? Willy weather just popped up with a storm force wind warning for Batemans to Eden coast.. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any stronger - 113km gusts, haven’t seen it this strong in forever.. although it is 2020- so anything could happen.

20.01.2022 Two years Today- Happy Birthday mbK ! Two years ago this day I launched Mbk. I had a vision and all that entailed..... no idea what was ahead but had a passion that I couldn’t say no to & I couldnt let go.. To all those who I’ve met at markets, invites to talk at events and media publications, support of social media people & their pages..dreams coming true of meeting celeb chefs who supported small business on the SE coast after the fires.. And THEN covid-19 changing the world & the way we do business from here, forever ..what a year It has been a challenge, it hasn’t been easy as a solo parent, in fact at times it’s been incredibly difficult juggling things, having parental guilt & having no one to voice ideas to ...but it HAS been fun, it has been rewarding to meet so many people, to of supported them in improving their health, to talk of the benefits of having seaweed in the diet & the food chain. To see our little business grow slowly but surely over the last 2 years, has been an amazing journey and I look forward to the the next part of the road. Thanks to our friends, local businesses, customers, wholesalers, retailers for your support, loving and using our products- right from the beginning we couldn’t have grown without you! what a ride..now, where’s those bubbles! Met so many people from far & wide who are about to partake in what our local regions have to offer in the coming days. Especially enjoyed meeting Gwenyth and friend who was all over seaweed & the health benefits in the diet.... 06.01.2022 Wanted to show you the wild swell here on the SE coast today. Perfect seaweed generating waves.. Hope we receive some nice stocks of kelp when conditions quieten & King Neptune stops thrashing around !

05.01.2022 After the craziness of the weekend weather system (rain was amazing !) Local NPWS are giving the local Corunna lake a little helping hand to open, really not that far to go. There are special requirements of course, the lake has to back up to a certain point at the top side of the lake & if it is flooding and impacting on farmland & infrastructure it is then given a helping hand to open.... It certainly deserves a good clean out after the debris from the fires.
