22.01.2022 Hi Parents/Students Just a friendly reminder re entries for 2020, if you could assist in trying to get them in would be appreciated. I know that it's heading for the holiday season, and we try and get away from sport, dancing etc, then when we return it's a mad rush.... So if you can get them in would be great. To help you, ask your daughter/son to fill it in for you, as they know what items they do and if open/novice. This helps prevent a lot of mistakes, as parents we are busy. Have a great Xmas, safe New Year....and look forward to seeing you next year. 20.01.2022 ATTENTION: PARENTS AND STUDENTS. Receipts have now been posted out. We ask that you please check them and if you have not received yours by the 5th of February please let us know; some recepts have only been posted today. Please make sure you/your child is in the correct age group and whether they are open or novice.... Those competing in championships/awards, please check the rules so you are familiar with them. If there are any amendments that need to be made please send an email to [email protected] making sure the amendment is clear. This must be in writing for the change to be made. Once the programme goes to print, we will not be making any more changes. This causes problems when booking children in. If you are not sure, please always feel free to check with your teacher or contact a committee member. We are aiming to have programmes out early march; we look forward to seeing you all in 2020! 06.01.2022 Dear Parents/Students, It is with regret that the Melton Bacchus Marsh Dancing Festival, due to be held March/April 2020 will be postponed, due to the current Health Recommendations. We have not made this decision lightly, but feel it is in the best interest of all patrons, volunteers and performers.... We are quite upset at having to do this, but really feel we had no other choice, and are currently assessing wheather to move to a later date. This may take some weeks to sort out, so please be patient and we will be in touch with you by email. Melton Bacchus Marsh Dancing Festival committee are all volunteers, and are not paid, and we will get through this in due course. Thank you for your understanding. 04.01.2022 ATTENTION; Teachers & Students. Could you please make sure that there is only 1 item per CD with a copy, (2 CD'S) clearly marked with your name. We suggest that you check the recording on a couple of different players to make sure that the music is clear with a good sound....EVERY PLAYER IS DIFFERENT.... Over the years we have experienced hold ups due to music wont play/not clear/sound. We have a volunteer that plays your music which is a blessing, if your music has a problem we will be asking teacher or parent to play the music. Also make sure you have checked all your rules and regulations - Including Championships/Awards. Behind the scenes lot of work goes into running and organizing competitions, (all voluntary) we are happy to do this but also need your help and support Also, foyer doors and dressing rooms will not be opened until 8:30am each comp day.
