25.01.2022 Snatches for strength and power

24.01.2022 Why? It's a really important question. It's something I asked a lot when I start talking to people about their health and fitness goals. Getting to the deeper reasons for doing something is more powerful and will carry you further when trying to do the hard things, like not eating chocolate or having a glass of wine every night. Sit down and write out your reasons for why you are doing something, notice how you feel, what you think and what emotions are playing through your head. Name the pain to tame it

20.01.2022 Consistency is rarer than talent or enthusiasm. Chris Williamson Being consist in your training, recovery, and health is what makes the changes. It's doing all the little things, getting a good nights sleep, eating healthy food, lifting weights with good form over and over again. if you fall off the wagon, get back on it!

09.01.2022 Today I'd like to show you my 3 favourite drills to stay your workout. Engaging the glutes, core and rotor cuff to make sure all your muscles are switched on and your ready to workout. 1.) Starting with lock clams. Invented by Andrew Lock Andrew Lock Physiotherapists PRORAW GYM these amazing and small movements pack a punch and can burn your butt nicely. It helps with controlling the movement of the knee, which a lot of people have trouble with. Do 2 to 3 sets of 15 to 30 r...eps and feel the burn! 2.) Switching on all the abdominal muscles not just your 6 pack with the 90/90 brace. It's a great way to tell the full belt of muscles that help support the spine. 2 sets of anywhere between 5 breathes and 1 minute holds. The more you do it the deeper the contraction. 3.) The Rotor Cuff Combo! With this drill, each of the heads of the rotor cuff is worked and strengthened. It helps with getting the shoulders in the right position for bench press and shoulder press. 2 or 3 sets of 6 or 8 each side. Tell me what you think in the comments or DM me for more See more

09.01.2022 Here are my top tips for a compact core. I love using power bands, kettlebells, and barbels to train the core to increase stability in our movements. In these videos I'll be showing you a banded deadbug, a plank row, and a barbell roll out. Watch and enjoy

08.01.2022 The McGill curl-up is an amazing exercise to train abdominal tension for moving without flexing or moving the spine. It can be used as a warm up or during a workout to increase core activation before a heavy squat or deadlift without fatiguing to much. I recommend 2 or 3 sets of 5 x 10 second holds. Try them out, and tell me what you think!
