06.01.2022 COMING IN 2021 - Mount Buninyong Winery & NURSERY !!!! With 2020 being the year it has, we have had a lot of time to reflect on our business. We have always been very proud of our sustainable practices, and are always looking to improve upon them. Finally having had the time to observe and reconnect with this land has uncovered a breadth of nature beauty. The flora and fauna that has returned over the last 6 months or so is incredible, from indigenous wildflowers and grasses... to echidnas and koala’s. We are mindful that much of this beauty has only returned because of the lack of people and foot traffic due to our Covid closure. We will be reopening in 2021 in a new way - with a dedication to environmental awareness and an experience of flora and fauna endemic to the land which we have much to learn about. Turning our home gardening passions into an exciting new addition to our business - and launching the Mount Buninyong Winery & NURSERY. Stay tuned. Pic. Cherry Ballart tree To the first Australians, the Cherry Ballart was a tree with many uses and cultural significances. It’s use in welcome to country and cleansing ceremonies draws on the knowledge that the tree is a partial parasite, taking nutrients from its host plant without doing it any harm. In human terms, this is a beautiful metaphor for visitors to country that are being invited to share the resources of the land while caring for it as if it was their own.
