19.01.2022 Welcome to the neighbourhood! After moving to our new house about 5 weeks ago we were close to loosing it all. A fire passed through the back of ours and neighbouring properties yesterday afternoon, cause unknown...We were very much relieved when the rural fire brigade showed up and are forever thankful to all that assisted 5hrs, multiple crews containing 8acres of fires, hills and gullys, a bulldozer and help from the neighbours it was finally under control. After the excitement and 2hrly perimeter checks all night we are exhausted, so we will be taking a couple of days to recoup and clean up the yard.
