15.01.2022 Hi Guys. It's getting down to that time of year again where the mercury is starting to drop, and we all need to use our heaters to keep warm. It's important to consider having your heater serviced regularly, we recommend it should be completed every two years. With every service, we provide a Carbon Monoxide test, to check for and any leaks. This may be due to a cracked heat exchange, or a blocked or incorrect flue installation. It might even be because of a new range hood or... ceiling fan which can draw more air than your old one use to. We want all our friends and customers to stay safe while you stay warm this winter. 26.11.2021 This is a great example of why you should always used a licensed plumber & test your gas line before any new appliance is installed.... Here we have a Hot Water Service which has been replaced, however the old copper gas line didn't line up to the new connection. This handy man used a CAR HEATER HOSE with HOSE CLAMPS, instead of copper which created a dangerous gas leak just 20cms of the gas burner which is not only illegal, it could have caused a fire/explosion & no doubt a ...house fire. Luckily for this client the gas company had capped off & disconnected his gas meter. We replaced the hose with copper, retested the gas line from meter & then the gas company were able to reconnect his gas. Gas is very dangerous, so if you can smell gas, please call a plumber & get it checked out before anything happens.
