16.01.2022 Congratulations to MCC Alex Toohey who has accepted a full scholarship to the NBA Global Academy. This is appropriate recognition for Alex as he is recognised for constantly striving to be the best player and persons he can be! The article states that Alex is well on his way to building an outstanding Australian junior career and setting himself up to pursue his goals of becoming a Boomer and NBA player. The head coach describes Alex as a versatile wing that has great vi...sion and competes on both ends of the floor. Alex demonstrates strong leadership qualities and we are very excited to bring him into the program. Alex continues MCC Basketballs great tradition in producing athletes for the AIS program joining Patrick Mills, Brendan Clowry and Matthew Witkowski as previous MCC athletes receiving full scholarships to the AIS/NBA Global Academy. 01.01.2022 Here is an interesting statistic for players and the so called workout guys/trainers/coaches very few players will be that guy who will go 1 on 1, iso to get ...a bucket or make a play. So how come everyone works on 10,000 stationary dribble moves before a eurostep or stepback jumpshot. Players need to learn how to shoot, move w/o the ball, set screens, pass, rebound, defend. Nobody has ever won a game because they dribbled more times than their opponent! When you dribble and don’t move: your teammates + defense stand still, scoreboard doesn’t move; only the clock moves Don’t dribble in your piss!!! Drive the ball Dribbling is like candy it’s sweet, but too much of it makes you sick. There is way more to the game than dribbling, isolations + 1 on1. The great workout guys/trainers/coaches + players understand that. See more
