24.01.2022 Thank you to everyone - coaches, parents, committee, and even players - who got together last week to clean the clubrooms before council inspection and handing the keys back. They then got together to build sand castles on the pitch covers afterwards

22.01.2022 Whilst we are still trying to nut out the best way to handle last season's Trophy Presentations for most of our teams, it has been decided that the 2 oldest age groups (Under 16's & Under 17's) will be incorporated into the Senior Club's online Presentation Night next Saturday. A lot of these guys are already playing at least some senior cricket with the club anyway. Monash will be releasing some Presentation videos leading up to Saturday night, and we will share those that are relevant to the juniors on this platform. This one is the Under 16's.

21.01.2022 Wishing all of the mum's out there a very happy Mothers' Day, with an extra special shout out to all our great club's great mums. In addition to everything you do for the kids every day, we wouldn't have a club for their cricketing pursuits without you. From getting them to games & training, to helping with scoring, umpiring & team management and providing morning teas, canteen help and your unwavering support we say a big Thank You.

20.01.2022 The latest update from Cricket Victoria (yesterday, following Sunday's announcement from the Premier) is that we will not be able to commence training until the week of 2nd November. Having said that, some of the original restrictions will be eased - the main one being that we will be able to train as teams (not restricted to groups of 5). All teams will be notified in the coming week regarding specific training dates, times, venues, etc. We're FINALLY getting close, guys, so not long to go now.

19.01.2022 FINALLY it looks like junior cricket is firming up to get started on the weekend of 14th November, with training restarting from 26th October. Hopefully this MAY happen a week earlier. It is now more important than ever for our returning players - and any new players to register so that we can get our teams and grounds sorted out as quickly as possible. To register for this season, simply click on the below link or contact us for more information:... https://www.playcricket.com.au/club-finder/club-details

17.01.2022 CRICKET SEASON IS BACK Registrations in our junior program are still available for the upcoming season. We still have limited vacancies for: - Woolworths Junior Blasters (Introductory Program) - Sunday Stage 1 (modified rules equivalent of U/10) - Saturday Stage 2 (modified rules equivalent of U/12's) ... - Saturday U/13's. To register, or for more details, visit the link below. https://www.playcricket.com.au/club-finder/club-details

17.01.2022 Counting down to the AGM at 10am, and the kids are playing a scratch match amongst each other. There has been no rain and the ground is in great nick, which makes a mockery if the BHRDCA decision to call of all games last night. The main thing is that the kids are enjoying themselves - although with FIVE padded up, it doesn't say a lot about their confidence in each other

16.01.2022 The playing season for the juniors officially concluded on Saturday, with the Under 13's (white) team's Final at Tally Ho and a Super 7's parents vs kids game at Larpent Reserve. The pressure got to the U/13's who batted & bowled well but had their worst game in the field for the season, dropping 6 catches, proving the old adage that "catches win matches". Having said that, most of our kids are bottom age, while most of the opposition were top age, so to finish on top of the ...ladder at the end of the season - and to finish 2nd in their first year at the grade is a magnificent result. Everyone who played in the match at Larpent had a great morning (as seen below) although the parents were a bit stiff. Yet again, the parents lost on the last ball of the day. We suspect that the pressure got to them as well, as this is the 3rd year in a row that they have lost by the narrowest of margins. Highlight of the day was coach of the Super 7's (white) team Roger McKinnon being bowled by gun bowler (& his son) Lucas McKinnon. We now look forward to seeing everyone at Larpent Reserve next Saturday for Presentation Day.

16.01.2022 Following on from the Under 16's presentation, we now provide the Under 17's trophy presentation from Karan - the coach of that team.

14.01.2022 It is with great regret that we advise that, following the government's announcement of a 5 day stage 4 lockdown, ALL cricket in the state has been cancelled. This means no games on Saturday or Sunday and no training on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Hopefully we'll be back immediately afterwards, but we will keep all of our families informed as soon as we know anything more.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to our Under 13A team, who fought back brilliantly (with both bat & ball) to win against Malvern on Saturday. The game looked lost in both innings, but the guys showed magnificent heart to get off the canvas with a "never say die" attitude and claw their way to victory. We now face Toorak-Prahran at Orrong Romanis Reserve on Saturday morning in the final. It will be a big ask, as TPCC were the yardstick this season, finishing on top of the ladder without losing a game. Our guys have shown, though, that if anyone can get it done - WE are that team. Good luck in bringing home the premiership, guys.

13.01.2022 A big shout out to all of our players and families during these trying times. We know that it's hard to be away from friends and the larger community - and not able to play sport, but if we all do the right thing, then hopefully the junior cricket season will commence reasonably close to normal time. We certainly look forward to that happening and to seeing you all again as soon as possible. STAY HEALTHY and STAY SAFE

09.01.2022 The President, Committee & Coaches wish all of our players, parents and families a peaceful and safe Easter. We are all in this together, we will all get through this together, and the Easter message is just as relevant to everyone - irrespective of faith.

07.01.2022 Just like at club level, the various associations that our juniors compete in have been unable to conduct their annual Presentation Nights. ISEC (Inner South East Cricket), that a couple of our junior teams compete in, worked their way around that yesterday by conducting an online event. We are proud to announce that, after gaining selection in ISEC's representative team, one of our Under 16 players - Zayaan Arbab, took out the award for "Player of the Carnival" in the Under 14 team. So not only did Zayaan achieve the honour of representing the Association, he was adjudged to be the best player in that representative team. All this on top of playing in 3 different junior teams AND playing senior cricket for our parent club - Monash Cricket Club. We heartily congratulate "Zee" on this outstanding performance.

07.01.2022 As the season draws to a close for all of our junior teams, with this week being the last day for the year, the Under 13's (White) are the exception. Our boys batted very well in the semi-final to finish our 30 overs on 3/179, which was always going to be a tough ask for the opposition. We then followed it up on day 2, by bowling very well, and restricted Mt. Waverley to 6/101. The comprehensive win by 78 runs, means that we host the Final over the next 2 Saturday mornings a...t Tally Ho. Congratulations to coach Cecil Herft and his team on making it this far. Only 2 more days of cricket to achieve the ultimate success of a premiership. We have great confidence in your ability to get the job done. Again, all senior players, and juniors who have already finished their season, are encouraged to get along and support the team.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our Under 13A team, who did the Club proud by making it through to their 2nd final in consecutive years. Unfortunately we fell 12 runs short of the ultimate prize, but can certainly hold our heads high after a great season. Will with his 43 runs & Jeet with his 3/11 were the stand outs on the day, but ALL of the boys did a marvellous job just to get there. The Club thanks you for your inspirational effort, Cec for his great coaching & mentoring, Michael for his scoring every week, and all our families for their support throughout the season.

01.01.2022 Very best of luck to our U/13A team, who host Malvern CC in a semi-final at Tally Ho Reserve this morning. Go well and enjoy the day, guys
