We are expecting 300 mm of rain overnight and wind gusts 180 km hr will cross the coast as a cat 4 cyclone wind gusts at cyclone centre 270 kms things should start picking up around 11 pm tonight Ross

17.01.2022 Cyclone Damien crossing the coast at 11.00am. Its 12.30 and a category 3 cyclone. It’s dead centre over us. This weather will continue for around another 12 hrs!

15.01.2022 The truck Terry built!!! Its at work pulling double road trains. Karratha WA to Perth and return has done 6 trips so far and another 48 trailers to go. She does it cruisey comfy and is up for the job. Terrys effort is giving great results!!!

15.01.2022 This is our first new SCANIA we have taken delivery. We added it to our fleet 500 hp euro 6 will be doing local work here in the Pilbara WA. We are now looking at second new v8 to follow going out on rail job tomorrow. Its a big day at McCallum Trucking!

14.01.2022 We loaded off the Antonov today at Perth airport. Then onto an express roadtrain to Karratha and Dampier. Thats our new scania backed into the aircraft.

13.01.2022 Ross and Paul have touched down in America after sitting around in the Qantas lounge in Sydney waiting to catch the planes. Hope they have a great trip and enjoy there we deserved break!

13.01.2022 A few pictures of Ross and Pauls trip. They visited the caterpillar plant @ Decatur and seen assembly plt for mining dump tengine flood samloo powered scrapers and 240 cat graders. They then visited the caterpillar plant in Petoria where we seen engine oil engine fluids sampling labortrys went to tea Irish pub in petoria.

04.01.2022 Last year Ross purchased a damaged truck and decided it would be a great project to get re-built. It took Terry almost 7 months to re-build the whole truck in a shed in country Victoria and he done a fantastic job! Here is a video of the truck finished!

02.01.2022 We took delivery of our new Scania R 650 last Tuesday. 650 HP 130 Tonne rated. Its there 50th Anniversary and only 50 of these Trucks were built . And we have purchased #4. This R 650 will replace the 404 SAR. Here it is on its maiden voyage put straight to work. 50 Tonne motor from Fremantle port to cape Preston Sino iron ore mine. ... Thanks to Troy Ball, Sales Account Manager and Mark Port, Regional Sales Manager at Scania Trucks Perth Wa for putting things together for our new truck delivery. 02.01.2022 McCallum trucking has been engaged in the cartage of steel structure from Perth to Karijini Nat Park in the east Pilbara. For the dept of Parks and Wildlife WA, for the past 4 to 5 years here we are delivering the final load for viewing plat form of the dales gorge , fortuscue falls. The staircase and plat forms extend down into the gorge some 200 metres , while I was being unloaded, this week took some time to walk down and picture the finished structure, the steel is sand blasted and rusted to blend in with the surrounding environment. We delivered around 90% of this structure ex Perth. Cheers Ross
