17.01.2022 The 2020 McCallum Golf Day sponsored by Ballarat Renault was an amazing success yesterday at RACV Goldfields Resort Teams were entertained by comedian Dave Thornton before hitting the course in sensational conditions. The winners of the event were Stylerite Windows who took home the McCallum Perpetual Golf Cup and now join a long list of past champions. ... All funds raised will go towards the construction of our latest purpose built house in Lucas planned for construction later this year.

16.01.2022 It's International Day of Disability - so here's a story to warm your heart! During the COVID19 period some McCallum residents have been getting out regularly and going for walks. Through these walks they have made friends with neighbours as they walk by. These people have also been significantly affected by the isolation that COVID19 has brought upon them. One relationship that has developed is with Marie and her little dog Missy. Over time friendships and many conversatio...ns have developed with the ladies and Missy. This has now resulted in an opportunity for the residents to walk Missy. This opportunity to temporarily look after Missy has seen a positive change in the residents whom have loved the responsibility of taking Missy for a walk. Walking Missy has also resulted in new conversations with other neighbours in the area whom the ladies had not previously had dealings with. It's great being part of an inclusive community!

15.01.2022 Everyone, meet Donald! Donald was on-site to ensure the new billboard he features in with Tara is up to standard! It's all part of our latest advertising campaign for our Community Connections Online program. They were kind enough to volunteer to be on this HUGE billboard in Doveton Street (opposite Target) and will soon feature on a bus for the next 12 months!... Donald also produces and hosts the "Radioactive" program with his friends on Voice FM. Tara was on WIN News Ballarat a fortnight ago as well! Donald and Tara are becoming quite the "celebrities" around town.

05.01.2022 We think there may be some confusion! Our "clothing recycling" bins are for clothes only. Unfortunately, over the weekend it seems people had a giant clean out of unwanted toys, furniture, cooking utensils and other household items, and bequeathed them to us!... These items will now be taken to the Ballarat Council Transfer Station at McCallum's cost. If you are looking to donate toys, household items and other useful items please consider our good friends at Wozzles Wearhouse.
