It has been determined that children have better outcomes following divorce or separation if they are able to maintain a healthy relationship with each parent. There is a mandatory requirement for parents who have a dispute reg...arding their children to seek the professional help of a mediator who is trained and accredited by the Attorney General as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. This type of mediation can can help you decide the important issues such as where the children will live, how much time children will spend with each parent - as well as any other issues important to the welfare and development of the children such as which school they will attend or which instrument or sport they will play etc. If you and your former partner or spouse are able to negotiate an agreement, we can assist you with advice on Consent Orders appropriate for your circumstances. We can assist you to negotiate with your spouse or negotiate on your behalf with your spouses solicitor. When parties are able to negotiate orders by consent that are likely to be approved by the Court. You and your ex-partner and children can avoid the stress and expense that is associated with Family Law litigation that often spans over years in the Federal Circuit or Family Court of Australia.
