20.01.2022 It will be sad not visiting the Torres Strait and NPA these holidays for the first tie in 17 years! God willing, we will return once God opens the way. We have a great fun-filled kids program ready to go called Wise Vs Foolish Builders. Ps. Peter will be flying up to Horn Island for around 30 mins this Wednesday and then travelling back to Cairns the same day. Please say hello if you’re at the airport or ask if you would like prayer . 20.01.2022 The 2019 Mission Team did a great job sharing their experiences in chapel a few weeks ago. They obviously inspired many as we already have lots of applicants for 2020! Each team member shook his hand and expressed thanks for their opportunity to serve. 15.01.2022 Sleep in Saturday . Our team is enjoying a well deserved sleep-in this morning after giving their all over the last few days. Happy Saturday everyone. Meanwhile Mr Lister is the the garden tidying our MCC garden & Mrs Lister is doing some washing and more shopping.

15.01.2022 Team had an enjoyable time flying into Warraber in these small planes. Great flight. We spent yesterday afternoon/evening meeting lots of people and will do so again today with hopefully some program preparation. All doing well.

15.01.2022 A great, busy day today running kid’s program. The team did so well for their first day and as always thought of ways to make it even better tomorrow. Late night of reflections, program fine tuning and of course snaps and props . Always great to catch up with adults who came to the kids programs as kids like Ione Sorogo and how God is working in their lives. a great reminder our team is impacting eternity. Ps Peter did a great job teaching church on stewardship.

14.01.2022 The Mackay Christian College Indigenous Outreach Team departed this morning on their way to the Torres Strait for the 17th Year. Please keep them in your prayers as they seek to let Christ’s light shine and love show over the Semester Break.

13.01.2022 Past team members might remember Ioane Sorogo from our programs on Warraber Island in the Torres Strait many, many years ago. Ioane also attended Mackay Christian College as a student. These days he works at the College, attends Slade Point Life Giving Church and is one of our Rugby Union Coaches. Well done Ioane!

12.01.2022 Another great day, 2nd and last day of kid’s program on Warraber. Tomorrow a rest day mixing with community. Who knows what the day will hold? Today ended with a fun party. Great catching up with Kabay Tamu who was in our kid’s program many years ago. Today his son Tyrique was enjoying our program. Love that we’ve been able to share with multiple generations over the years. Team are doing so well.

12.01.2022 We had a great day yesterday meeting & playing with the Warraber kids who are so friendly & welcoming. Today, day 3 started off with a bit last minute preparation for day 1 of our kids program. Some children have started to arrive and we’re excited with anticipation about what we have to share with the kids. Today’s topics include Parable is the sower , the unforgiving servant & the Loving Father. All doing well.

05.01.2022 The team was blessed to travel from Injinoo back to Horn Island today in the boat donated by Australian Christian Churches QLD/NT for ministry throughout the Torres Strait. Thank you Pastor Titom and Michelle for supporting our team once again in our 17th year of ministry.

04.01.2022 In these challenging times we have made the decision to postpone our July trip to later in the year when everyone is able to travel and fellowship again. We are still preparing and praying for this years trip and the delay makes our hearts long even more to visit. Hopefully September. 2 Peter 1:2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
