18.01.2022 Our Child Care Certificate students recently conducted a role play to help them learn about workplace health and safety. In the scenario, a child was bitten by an insect and developed an allergic reaction. The students had to work out the steps involved in ensuring the child's safety. These steps included (but were not limited to); remove children from the hazardous area, assess first aid requirements, assess the hazardous area and take steps to remove the hazard if possible.... Through this hands-on and practical lesson, our Child Care students really learnt a lot about workplace health and safety!
