14.01.2022 Have you ever walked along a shoreline only to have your footprints washed away? That is what Alzheimer’s is like. The waves erase the marks we leave behind, all the sandcastles. Some days are better than others. Pat Summitt #Alzheimer’s is something that many of us are aware of, but when it affects someone that is close to us, we find trouble in knowing what to do. The #community_workshop allowed us to be educated on #dementia and gain an overview on what dementia is, how... it impacts us, steps to take if are concerned and what services and education are available from Alzheimer's WA On the 28/10/2020, MCCWA participated in the Alzheimer’s Forum hosted by Hon Matt Swinbourn MLC at #Briggs_Park_Pavilion, #Byford. We organised an information booth where the forum participants have been provided information on the #services which are offered by #MCCWA.

14.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be. Recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) 2020 We at MCCWA celebrate NAIDOC Week along with many other organisations. #NAIDOCWeek begins from 8th of November to 15th of November. #Aboriginal and #Torres_Strait_Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. We use this week to invite all Australians to reflect and acknowledge the true history of #Australia. We recognise that the land that we are on began with the #First_Nations people and even after NAIDOC week we will continue to remember the origin of this continent.
