22.01.2022 REMINDER TO BOOK!!! Hey folks... Please keep in mind that with a cap of 40 people at any one time, bookings are a MUST to avoid disappointment!!... Lunch, dinner, even just for drinks, it's best to book if you want a table. It's sickening for us to have to keep turning people away at the door, whether there's music on or not. With the continued rising numbers of Covid cases, we are no longer willing to put our staff and customers at risk. As much as we've enjoyed providing our takeaway service, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain over the past few weeks.... Due to today's developments with the new stage 4 lockdown restrictions, it is now no longer feasible. We would like to thank you all for your continued loyalty, support and best wishes. People used to sit talking in pubs about their day, their families, work, politics, music, the lot. Now people just stare at their phones and we dont want that anymore...so no wifi in this pub." "You know what?" said Paddy "You're absolutely right" and he put his phone away.... "Thank you", the barman said "In this pub, we want you to act as you would've twenty years ago". 02.01.2022 The best Guinness love story ever written... Jake from Melbourne and Leilani from Hawaii met on a beach in Hawaii over 2 pints of Guinness. They married in Melbourne last week and headed to the peninsula for their honeymoon.... Leilani: "What the are chances of finding an Irish pub down here....." ....as they drove through Rosebud. And the rest is history Sure you couldn't make this stuff up They've been in to McDaid's a few times this week and it's been one of the highlights of their honeymoon.
