09.01.2022 ALERT FOR TOMORROW - QPWS PLANNED BURN 11 MAY 2021- Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) have advised that there will be a planned burn tomorrow Tuesday... the 11th of May at the Tuchekoi National Park. Smoke will be seen/smelt in the surrounding Pomona, Pinbarren and Cooran areas. The burn block is located on the corner of Jampot and Coles Creek Roads. As always, please keep any medications necessary at hand and drive to conditions if visibility is affected by smoke. See more

04.01.2022 McDermott aviationn group have been tasked to Timor Leste to help the humanitarian efforts currently for floods relief and Covid-19. McDermott aviation teams flew from their Sunshine Coast base in one of the multi role emergency service helicopters AS365 N3 Dauphin. This helicopter was weeks earlier being used in Northern NSW flood relief....
