19.01.2022 Today we honoured the memory of a great man who gave his life doing what he loved. Dallas Keith Holland 14/06/1982 - 10/01/2017.... Dallas was tragically taken from his loved ones whilst doing the job he loved, and doing it to perfection. He had pulled over on the gateway motorway in Brisbane, to check his load due to a loose strap, and payed the ultimate price for putting others safety ahead of his own. Today he took his final ride, chauffeured to the church in Lowood on the back of a Prime Mover, with a convoy of fellow truckies, family and friends. Everyone at McDonald Trucking wish to extend their deepest thanks to all of the wonderful people for their support and assistance this past week. Special thanks to our friends Glen and Vanessa Skipworth who have been amazing in their support and organisation....not to mention cooking us all dinner several times! Special thanks to Dallas' beloved Tina who has shown incredible strength and love, calling to check on both Terri and myself regularly. Dallas was a much loved member of our team, he wore his McDonald Trucking shirt with pride and we will miss him and his smiling, smart ass comments! Take it easy cob, everytime I hear those big 8 inch pipes you loved, I will picture you saying 'sounds PHAT ay cob!' RIP Dallas.
