14.01.2022 What a wonderful week full of learning and reflective conversations around Indigenous culture and what it means to celebrate NAIDOC week. It was so lovely to see the staff and children expand their knowledge and engage in new learning opportunities

14.01.2022 On Monday we had a special visit from Ditto the Bravehearts Bear who taught us about feeling safe and unsafe when it comes to our bodies. Thank you Ditto for a fun and informative lesson. We can’t wait until you visit again

14.01.2022 What an exciting day it was for us as we discovered our Chickens have given us baby chicks So far we have 1 happy and healthy mummy and baby chicken and we are waiting for the rest to hatch I can’t wait to watch the children discover our new additions and check each morning for new babies

14.01.2022 What a Wonderful Water Day Event we had today for Day for Daniel. This year we teamed up with School Fun Run to raise money and awareness for Child Safety and Day for Daniel. This is such an important cause and we are so proud to have played a part in it If you haven’t signed your child up to our fundraiser, there is still time! 11.01.2022 It really does take a Village to raise a child and we are so lucky to have such hands on parents and grandparents that keep us going! The children loved watching Poppy fix our fence yesterday and do some odd jobs around the place! Thanks for your help Poppy!! ( aka Craig )

05.01.2022 On Tuesday we held our last staff meeting for the year. This provided us with the opportunity to reflect on the year that was and plan for the year ahead. It’s also provided us the opportunity to remember all of the wonderful things we have done during a difficult year and thank our amazing team for the dedication they have shown these past 12 months. What an amazing diverse team we have, they consistently go above and beyond for the children in their care and we could not be prouder of each and every one of them! Thank you to all of the educators here at McDowall Village Childcare, we hope you enjoyed your Christmas gifts and remember just how amazing you all are
