25.01.2022 So who has been to Hellenika lately? We love great Greek food, and in our opinion, there is none better than Hellinika on the Gold Coast. From the amazing kefalograviera to the baked lamb and homemade sweets, a night out at Hellenika always spoils us. They have an excellent wine list to match the food (super important!!), so whether you love a good pinot or want to try a Greek dessert wine, the choice is yours. Go for the banquet and let us know what you think!

22.01.2022 Casual Friday in the office took a new look for Matt’s PA Gemma this week. Gemma is from England and unfortunately she lost a bet to our Trainee Solicitor Howard that a specific English bowler would get Steve Smith out. She was wrong and she wore her punishment for this.

22.01.2022 It is good to see that APRA, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority has made changes this week to allow the banks to set their own serviceability assessments to loan applications at 2.5 percent above their interest rate. The serviceability rate prior to this weeks changes was 7 percent but common industry practise was 7.25 percent. This should help the lending market and hopefully help the real estate market move.

17.01.2022 It is important that a Will maker be of sound mind and clear intention when drafting a Will. That is not possible when someone takes advantage of their position of power or trust to exert undue influence over or behave unconscionably toward a Will maker. If undue influence or unconscionable conduct is proven, any instructions benefiting a person proven to have exerted undue influence, or engaged in unconscionable conduct, will be invalidated.
