25.01.2022 A nice morning session with my mates Bob, Dave and Robyn from the Kalumburu Mission. Bob caught a huge 76cm Fingermark/Golden Snapper and a nice 74cm Northern Black Jewfish in addition to some other smaller fish which we shared with other campers and the traditional owners.

24.01.2022 River Trip this morning with #KevinBuiting & #LauraJaneVanDijk, a little dip in the waterfall after some amazing Barra Fishing. River still flowing a little fast in top sections of the river to fish my favourite spots, but kevin managed 2 90cm Barra and Laura got her first Barra aswell. Pics to follow or it didn't happen #ToddBairstow

16.01.2022 BE AWARE OF CYCLISTS Over the next 4 days students from the Kalumburu school will be riding to Mitchell Falls so please be aware and slow down if youre passing them.

15.01.2022 Moseying around Australia Nice Fish!

14.01.2022 Great fishing and beautiful weather continues with no wind in the mornings and only a gentle NW onshore wind in the afternoons. Mid 30s everyday and the 25 tourists have paradise almost all to themselves....

13.01.2022 Permits required for the Kimberley.

13.01.2022 Meg McCarthy made up this beautiful wool loom of McGowans at sunset. She has also been showing her looming skills to the women at the local Kalumburu Strong Women's Centre. She also makes other cool items out of recycled goods such as stubbie holders and baskets - see attached pics. Her work is available for sale too.

10.01.2022 #NicoleJayneBosworth and Jacko caught some nice Reds and Goldies today. The biggest Golden Snapper was 75cm! As the months roll-on the fishing gets better... Well done guys

06.01.2022 Ok, it is with great disappointment that we have to advise that McGowan Island Beach is not likely to be open for the 2020 Tourist Season. All remote communities in WA are currently on lockdown, meaning essential travel into Kalumburu only. NO TOURISTS.

06.01.2022 With the King Edward slowing down a bit over the weekend, we're starting to see the big fish push up the river further for the Cherabin (fresh water prawns). This is an annual occurrence here. #PaulLokay first Barra ever, over the majic 1 Metre mark! (Tongue out) #KevinBuiting second trip out with me, is now a seasoned veteran of the Metre Club #LauraJaneVanDijk your just going to have to pry that rod out of Kevin's hot little hands to get yours! Plenty of Video's shot, but too much colorful language for this page, everyone was a little excited this trip! Double and triple hooks ups the norm and absolute mayhem in the boat at times was definitely entertaining! #Barramundi #TheKimberley

02.01.2022 Heaps of Longtail Tuna around still...makes for great sashimi

01.01.2022 River was flowing a little fast for getting up into the King Edward Gorge, so we fished just before the Gorge for some great results. #KevinBuiting second cast and first Barra on Rod n Reel @ 90cm. Shortly after another thumping 90cm! #LauraJaneVanDijk caught her first Barra aswell after some expert tips from Kevin! Plenty of good memories to take home with them i'm sure.

01.01.2022 Great spot at McGowans
