22.01.2022 So you have got this amazing looking WordPress website, but it loads so slow due to large image files it feels like you have gone back in time to the year 2000 and on dial-up speeds again (Remember that?) In the past, you had one option. Go through each photo of your website, resize them and replace them or go to a graphic designer/web designer and ask them to professional resize and upload each image for you We are talking big bucks potentially if you have an e-commerce s...tore. This is a major issue for website owners due to the amount of time it takes to compress each one but is now one of the easiest to resolve thanks to a new category of online software that can integrate with your site and fix the problem in a few clicks. (YES THAT IS RIGHT NO MORE BIG OPTIMISATION COSTS!) So how do they work? Online image compression tools integrate with your website through a Wordpress Plugin which downloads/resizes/restores each image in your websites media gallery including their thumbnails. Many of these platforms support multiple web formats too including jpeg, png and newly emerging WEBP format (Image format developed by Google). New innovators have plans on creating apps soon to plug straight into Shopify websites and other online page builders so stay tuned! Note: It is always important to do a backup of your website first (I always do this twice to make sure that the site back up is not corrupted) before installing any 3rd party plugins/applications, in case they crash on your server. If you are not experienced with backups, websites etc it is best to have someone manage the process for you. #imageoptimisation #imageoptimization #imagecompression

21.01.2022 Working in 2020 and beyond has just become remote. As internet speeds increase, so does efficiency of sharing information across the internet with each other or ourselves. Recent advancements of screen sharing capabilities make it now possible to completely share each other's screens in high resolution in a completely different country, in what feels to be real-time. Google has shown innovation in spades with recent updates of their free screen sharing product. Once just a m...ere extension of the chrome browser it now it has a full website dedicated to the cause. remotedesktop.google.com The process of screen sharing, unofficially dubbed Chromoting" by fans allows the user to securely access their own computer from their phone, tablet, or another computer. A game-changer for people who need to access a fixed computer in a remote location, computer technicians and tech support people. Give it a try, what do you think of the recent updates? Like or like? #chromoting #google #winning #remotedesktop #technology #innovation

Gamification in the workforce is the process of adding games to everyday processes and It is starting to be used by companies to engage employees and sales individuals. 19.01.2022 HUGE changes to the Google Algorithm sends the world in spin (November 2019) Search engine optimisation for our website is always the top of everyone's mind as we want to rank first for our chosen keywords. Google rankings turn into potential sales and client traffic for our products or services. This week there were reports that saw sites across business, travel, recipes, eCom, tech news, affiliate sites, and other alternative health sites having a drop in traffic of up to 4...8%. A devastating drop for some businesses. We have concluded that many of the sites which were blog heavy ended up losing a lot of weight to other sites that had standard pages. Google is still favouring Good content and properly executed pages that help the end-user get the right information the first time. Blog posts that were gaining momentum have been favoured for content-rich pages. You need to ensure that your pages are rich with useful information that your clients want and think about the kind of questions that your clients would ask and answer them on each page of your website. Content, alas is only one part of a complex algorithm. Many users who claimed to do GREY/BLACK hat techniques had huge drops in visitors as well. These strategies are improper and unethical and Google is closing a lot of these strategies down. These include poor quality backlink sellers, private blog networks, link farms, article spinning, buying expired domains, and hidden links please seek advice from a professional before handing over your money. They could get your site blacklisted and marked as spam by Google. If you would not look on that particular site to find your product, it's probably safe to say that your link should not be on there! McGregor Murtagh only supports WhiteHat SEO Methods. #SEO #SEO2019 #ALGORITHM #ALGORTHM2019

14.01.2022 "How do you make your website convert more leads in 2019?" This is a big question that is in the mind of most business owners who have websites. You have a well-designed, bespoke website which is performing well in the search engines but you are finding that people tend "look and leave" rather than submit their details or make a purchase.... Here are three up and coming software categories that are helping people like you convert more visitors into customer leads. 1. Instant Callback Software These services allow visitors to put in their telephone number into the website to get an instant call back from a chosen agent. An example of this can be seen here: https://mcgregormurtagh.com 2. Automated Chatbots These services allow you to provide customer service via a robot. These robots can be set up with a specific set of questions with corresponding answers. These can be omni-channel (Facebook Messenger, Twilio SMS etc), integrate with CRMs/CMS or be used to assist people with e-commerce purchases. An example of this can be seen here: http://wrkitfitness.com 3. Calendar Booking Software These services allow your visitors to book directly into your online calendar (Gmail/Outlook etc). They can be set up with particular parameters and allow a customer to book in with you instantly rather than procrastinate and potentially never book in. An example of this can be seen here: https://www.unitymanagement.com.au/contact-us/ https://bookme.name/xavier What types of software do you prefer to use to get more leads? #chatbots #clicktocall #webtophone #innovation #mcgreormurtagh Jon Matt Holly Xavier Murtagh Xavier

12.01.2022 In July 2016, the Japanese consumer electronics company Funai Electric announced that it will no longer make VCRs (more commonly known as VHS tapes) this was the end of an era for recording videos to tape and along came DVD’s. Less popular for recording, but still prevalent DVD’s were the new way to capture your memories, but this was not too last. Netflix, Stan and iVIEW changed the landscape dramatically. There was no longer a reason to record your favourite show on TV.... Parallel to this, cameras became smaller and easier to use. From big cumbersome VHS recorders in the 90’s, to easier to use DVD cameras, to plug and play SD or USB capturing all of these items saved your videos or movies to a device of some sort. Then along came the mobile phone. Mobile phones meant that any person could record any movie from anywhere. Apps came on the scene to enhance these movies and platforms, like YouTube were created to capture and store your videos. Now 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every MINUTE and almost 5 billion videos are watched, on YouTube alone, every single day! And for most people this is great! But what about those videos that are confidential? The videos that need to be saved in a secure host, or at a secure location (e.g. Kept in Australia). What do you do with copyrighted material, sensitive material or private material? YouTube is not the option for this. For this, you need a specific Software as a Service solution. Some that will be a complete solution for hosting all your important videos. Other scenarios that may need this are: - Videos used in exams it’s so important that the video can not be streamed or downloaded. - Videos that are used as evidence you need to ensure that the video is encrypted between the host and user - Videos that are customised when it is essential that your copyright is maintained - Videos for your products you do not want to give your competitors a preview or advantage - When choosing your secure video hosting solution you need to ensure that - No downloader, plugin or hack can download or share the video streamed through the provider - That the stream is encrypted - That you can add Watermarking to the video - That you can capture the users IP Address, I.D., email or any other information you may require - That you can play the videos offline - That it will work on all devices and platforms - That you can add subtitles - That you can change speed, forward or rewind - That the software will work successfully with your current - Customer Relationship Management system, Content Management System or Learning Management System Make sure that your choice of software ticks some or all of these boxes before making your choice and then you will be assured that your fantastic videos remain your own.

07.01.2022 You have just launched your new website and you’re excited that sales are starting to come through, but you did not anticipate that anyone would actually ask you a question regarding their purchase or questions you regarding your products! In fact, by the end of day one, you are 2000+ messages deep and it’s growing... The big problem you face is that messages are coming from every direction including Instagram direct message, Facebook Messenger, Email, WeChat, WhatsApp an...d more. What do you do? You can either do it yourself, pay someone to start replying to each or just simply cry (We can hear your admin team saying finally someone understands!) Well, have we got a surprise for you. There is a new entrant SaaS subcategory which has bolted on to the chatbot market called command centres. This service allows you to manage all your client's questions and messenger chats in one platform. You can use triggers and rules to build guided experiences, collect data, assign customers to agent, automate follow-ups, and more. Some already are integrated with the latest in AI learning which actually replies to your messages based on how you have replied before. (How good is that?) Due to being a new entry to the market, not all messaging/email services are integrated yet but we are likely to see a number of competitors hit the market driving the value up and cost down. #commandcentres #chatoptimisation #chatoptimization #messagereplys #innovation #technology

04.01.2022 What should I hashtag in my IG (Instagram) posts? People love searching by #hashtags and it's easy to see why. Hashtags make it easy for potential clients to find your story in their search for inspiration. Looking at buying a new drone with a camera? Check out the #drone hashtag on IG, or maybe you are wanting to see different types of clocks, #clocks is for you. Depending on the client and their goals, we take different approaches when posting and hashtagging. ... For local businesses with no overseas shipping, we like to keep things relevant and local. We want local people to find our page not people on the other side of the pond! For Influencers, we like to keep hashtags broader posting more popular Instagram #hashtags as well as locations as they visit them. We are wanting universal stardom so we need to keep it broad! The first step with any post is research. With your future posts research what people are posting and how much engagement they are getting. You will quickly notice people who are getting large amounts of engagement for posts which are similar to yours and analyse and understand why they get more engagement than others. Look at what people in your marketplace are hashtagging similar photos and always be relevant. Don't #hashtag love if you are putting out hate! Obviously, there are many other factors that go into how people engage, it's not just #hashtags, but they are an element of the algorithm you can exploit if you know how to use them wisely. #winningformula #digitalmarketing #marketing If you are looking to get famous on Instagram here are some of the most popular hashtags from the year that was...
