25.01.2022 Every Wednesday night from 7pm McGuire's Hotel hosts Paul's prize money 8 ball pool competition, - $10 entry fee and the takings are divided up between the Winner & Runner up, Please come & join in the fun, may be enjoy a delicious meal or have a coldie or four, you play on championship tables in air conditioned comfort, whilst selecting your favorite music on crowd DJ.

25.01.2022 Thanks to all McGuire's management & staff, Clinton, Sam and their crew for displaying brilliant light & stage production + excellent two nights of entertainment, security for keeping the patrons in line, it was an excellent Friday & Saturday night, just a couple of photos from last night, I also want to thank all patrons for showing up in numbers + helping us keep the Queensland Health rules and regulation on social distancing and dancing above board & in line, we do apologize for the hundreds who could not make it into the venue, this was due to us having to cap the numbers entering well under our legal venue capacity, we want to keep this venue safe & as comfortable as we can under the Covid - 19 restrictions.

21.01.2022 Evening all, The pandemic has been difficult for all of us, personally and professionally. With all difficulties come challenges, and unfortunately we didn't do the best we could with regards to entering the venue, especially our beer garden, Electric Garden. However, McGuires endeavours to be a great experience for our customers, and we have arrived at a more streamlined solution for weekend entry. The door staff are now at the main entrance to the venue, alongside the ID ...scanners. In addition to this, we have converted the pool room into a second room for patrons, complete with a nice atmosphere, a DJ and great air-conditioning. This means that it will be now faster to enter the venue and get to your spot, with a choice of the Beer Garden, the Pool Room and Karaoke, with excellent value meals and beverages throughout the venue. We also greatly appreciate the majority of people who have been respectful of the pandemic rules set out by QLD health, our staff definitely do not enjoy reminding people repeatedly to follow the rules. With the changes incoming October 1st, we will enjoy a larger capacity in our outdoor area, and look forward to seeing all your beautiful smiling faces. Have a great weekend! Look after your mates!

18.01.2022 From tomorrow @ McGuire's Hotel in Mackay the outdoor & beer garden restrictions will be reduced from the 4 square meters per person ruling to 2 square meters, this does not mean we can double our capacity of patrons, unfortunately you still have to be seated and no dancing is allowed, due to this we have re arranged the Electric Garden to be able to comfortably seat 200 patrons , plus we have the Pool Hall, Karaoke room, pokie room + 2 x bar areas inside the Hotel, where we can comfortable seat another 70 patrons!

This will mean as Electric Garden is considered an outdoor space, (IE Beer Garden), Dancing will be allowed from Tuesday NEXT WEEK. Yes, FROM NEXT WEEK. No, not from this weekend sorry, from next week. ... The vast majority of our customers have followed the legislation and rules put in place by QLD Health, and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. HOWEVER This does not mean you can dance this weekend, and we still need to follow the rules. We don't make the rules, we follow them so the venue can continue to operate and trade.
