07.01.2022 Just a little reminder to keep an eye on your ponies! Although Spring is the time we are usually the most vigilant for signs of laminitis, Autumn can also encourage enough growth of green grass to affect a susceptible pony or horse. Some of the signs of laminitis can be subtle, but you will know your pony best, and will usually notice before anyone else if something doesn't seem "right". If you have any concerns about a horse or pony that is showing signs of laminitis, it's time to contact a veterinarian. Although your hoofcare professional will be a big part of the rehabilitation process, it's important to start out with an accurate diagnosis.

07.01.2022 Stay safe everyone, and wash your hands! Here at McHale HQ we are trying our best to keep ourselves and everyone around us safe and well. At this stage, appointments are still going ahead as planned. If you have any questions or would prefer to reschedule, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

05.01.2022 To all of McHale Equine's valued clients. At this stage, I will be continuing to trim horses as I am not classed as a "non-essential service". This may change in the future and I will do my best to keep everyone updated. Trims that have already been booked in, can go ahead as planned. If you would prefer to postpone or reschedule for a later date, please let me know asap.... If you, or anyone in your family is unwell for any reason, please cancel your appointment and reschedule. There will be some changes made to how I'm working. It would be preferred if horses could be tied for trims, or held in a way that allows for a 2 meter distance between myself and the handler. I understand that for some horses this may not be possible and we will work with this as best we can. Please do not be offended as I try to keep contact to a minimum. If possible, payments are to be made by online bank transfer. I will pass on my bank details to anyone who requires them. I will be doing my absolute best to socially isolate outside of work to keep you as safe as possible, and I would appreciate you doing the same for me. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. Regards Jessica McHale

04.01.2022 There are some changes coming at McHale Equestrian, starting with a name change, and a new logo designed by Flying Change Productions. More updates coming soon!

01.01.2022 For anyone who is interested in learning more about their horses hooves and becoming more self sufficient regarding hoofcare, this course would be brilliant! Tanya is the person who is responsible for starting me on the barefoot road several years ago. I definitely recommend her as a teacher
