08.01.2022 The Court of Appeal dismissed a claim where an individual suffered further strokes whilst being treated following a stroke in hospital. The case was dismissed and ultimately failed as no expert medical evidence was given on behalf of the individuals case at Trial. This judgement reinforces the need to lead expert medical evidence in support of a case when attempting to establish a breach of duty of care on behalf of a medical practitioner.
