We have all been struggling of late with being in lockdown for close to 8 weeks - the past few days we have been speaking about being grateful for what we do have. Family, farm, space, nature were the focus today - a spontaneous picnic by the creek. This is our maternity ward (farrowing huts and paddocks) where our sows get a week pre-labour to have some quality time to prepare for birth and nesting. Then they raise their piglets for 7 weeks until the are big and strong. Natural farming and behaviour at its best. True free-range pigs! Plus a beautiful piece of this country! .
