21.01.2022 Instant feedback with 1 on 1 coaching continues to amaze me Check out these kicks after video feedback. 1 vs 2- Feedback= Try and get that balance arm up... at 90 degrees. Take it off as you get near the top of your ball lift. Result= Photo 2 is a huge improvement Her body is now more stable and balanced in preparation for the leg back back swing. 3vs4- Feedback= Let’s get more wrist tilt to get the ball more upright and slightly forwards. Also can you get the ball earlier so your not contacting it so far in front. At contact your lower leg should be near vertical. Result- Photo 4 is much more effective Great ball position and contact point is Do you use to teach kicking? Have you got the teaching cues to help? Have you ever seen yourself kick? Are you confident in teaching someone else?? #kickinganalysis #coacheseye #aflwomens #aflw #aflcoaching #teachingskills #droppunts #afldrills #aflskills #aussierules #aflkicking

As we head towards the pointy end of the season, it is crucial that we remain disciplined with our Covid-19 Return to Play Protocols during training and game days. It has come to our attention that the Queensland Police Service (QPS) has been conducting random checks of sporting clubs to ensure compliance with the Industrys health and safety protocols. We have been incredibly proud of the efforts that clubs have gone to thus far to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our players, officials and spectators. We ask that you continue this great work and remain aware that random checks that might be carried out at any time to ensure clubs compliance. Please ensure you are continuing to follow the Protocols and always: - Have spectator sign-ins set up on game days; - Ensure hygiene sanitation stations are available; - Make sure spectators are seated when consuming alcohol in licensed areas; - Encourage social distancing in the crowd; and - Ensure runners and coaches are following correct hygiene protocols. Thank you for your continued support and resilience. If you have any queries or concerns, please dont hesitate to contact your Competition Manager. Yours sincerely Mark Ensor - AFLQ. MCJAFC - While we are confident we have been doing the right things, we need to ensure we maintain these high standards. We are proud of the work you have done to help us and are sure we can rely on your help with complying with these requirements for the remainder of the season. GO SHARKS!!!

11.01.2022 Inclusiveness!!!! At MCJAFC we value diversity and aim to adopt an inclusive approach to our interactions with members and management of our teams. Of course, our community is made up of all sorts of people with differing skills, abilities, conditions, attitudes and outlooks. This creates a dynamic and diverse community which we value at MCJAFC.... As Managers, Coaches, Administrators and Parents, one of the most valuable skills we can teach while playing Junior AFL is inclusive teamwork. Regardless of ability, we impart equality and kindness while supporting development and great team spirit. We appreciate you for bringing these values to every training session and our games, for calling out poor behaviour, helping our kids to be their best and for modelling behaviour that sets our Club apart. We ask that you discuss this with your kids and charges and remind them we are all different with different strengths and we can all help our mates by treating them the way we expect to be treated. Thank you. Steve - Club President.
