23.01.2022 We already know Australian small businesses are doing it tough, and based on data released this week from the Ai Group that's getting clearer. Based on a regula...r survey of business managers last month, some industries employing millions of Aussies are still shrinking. While Victoria's lockdowns aren't helping the national picture, nationwide the retail and hospitality sectors - which employed 1.8 million Australians in May - is still getting smaller. The personal and recreational services sector including personal trainers and gym instructors and employed nearly 600K people in May is shrinking even faster. It was a similar picture in business and property services and the health and education sector. That's why it's so important we all do our bit by supporting local businesses as much as we can with. By buying local food and drinks, supporting local hairdressers, or switching going into the gym or a Pilates studio to buying online classes, we can help keep these businesses going. So #golocalfirst to keep our businesses, community and Australia thriving.
