22.01.2022 Cyber Myth #2: Technology solutions are a silver bullet Reality: Technology can be part of the solution but it is not the entire solution. While technology is clearly an integral part of effective cyber risk management, it may overlook the impact of human behaviour malicious or otherwise on cyber... security. Whether it is simply employee curiosity or carelessness, these blind spots are often the weakest links in security. Increasingly, malicious tactics are designed to bypass sophisticated security technologies and exploit simple human error.

03.01.2022 While damage to homes often receives media coverage in the event of a major flood, businesses are just as at risk when a weather event of this nature happens. 01.01.2022 As you know, this is a difficult and uncertain time as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread and impact our communities. Like most organisations, McKenzie Ross has been reviewing its ways of working to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, people, partners and suppliers. We have strong business continuity plans in place to ensure that we can continue to support you during this time. We have made some adjustments to our business operations to ensure we minimise an...y potential risks in this current environment. We have outlined these adjustments below. 1. Working from home In the event staff are not able to access the office, we have adequate provisions for working from home, and staff will be available on emails and over the phone for any questions you may have. As an extra precaution, we are limiting external visitations our offices. If you do have a critical meeting with a McKenzie Ross team member, please discuss alternative arrangements with them directly. 2. Client / Staff Interaction We have decided to cease all non-essential external face-to face interaction. This includes client and business partner visitations. We will increase our use of technology such as video conferencing, to ensure we remain connected with you for any support you may need. 3. Ensuring our people are safe and well We have encouraged any employee that feels unwell to stay home and seek the appropriate medical advice. If our people do meet with you in person, they will follow the health advice from the authorities including appropriate social distancing. 4. Business Interruption Claims The impact on businesses large and small has already been huge and this, in turn, has a knock-on effect on other businesses and organisations. As it stands, there is no cover under a Business Insurance policy for the interruption to your business and reduction in business income due to COVID-19. Where insurers provide some cover due to loss of income from infectious disease, cover is then excluded if the disease is declared to be a quarantinable disease under the Quarantine Act 1908 (or subsequent amendments to this Act, known as the Biosecurity Act 2015). 5. Working together During times like these, its important we work together so we can continue making our people, partners and customers world a safer place. With the increased attention to hygiene, limiting non-critical physical meetings, and the increased use of technology, we will continue to support you. 6. Responsible Officers If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact your Account Manager or the following Responsible Officers: Andrew Payne, Managing Director, 0413 838 668 David Hendry, Commercial Manager, 0418 985 746 Luke Lalor, Operations Manager, 0434 774 105
