25.01.2022 This was a fun weekend. From memory it was the Nitro's maybe 2011 or 2012?
25.01.2022 The new trailer is ready to roll, just waiting on 240v power now.
25.01.2022 Fabulous to see great service, thanks Mark Binskin and the team at Bridgestone Mt Druitt
24.01.2022 Hi all, As most of you would no doubt be aware by profession I am an accountant (and nowadays a financial planner too). I am frequently asked questions about ta...x or people seek information on rates, logbooks, receipts etc. We have thus decided to invest in an app that provides plenty of interesting functions and helps with bringing a lot of information together. Please feel free to download this free app whether a client of ours or not - there are no strings attached! Have an awesome day to while you're at it
23.01.2022 Some good memories. Nearly time to make some more happy noises with this thing
23.01.2022 Let's go racing!
22.01.2022 I’ve had a couple of runs with Moose over the years. Looking forward to this one too
22.01.2022 How was your day?
22.01.2022 The fleet of vehicles for modification and racing just seems to grow! Green is my thing after all
21.01.2022 So how was your day? Mine was awesome mixed with a little bit of e85 20b of the Pac performance and ASG Motorsport variety
21.01.2022 Thanks to Drag Import media for some shots of the car up close. Rain beat us today but in to eliminations tomorrow with a better forecast!
21.01.2022 Merry Christmas!
21.01.2022 The last few days have been a blur but to wrap up our Winters I thought I’d put this video up. Unfortunately due to weather this was only our second run of the weekend and my third on a prepped track over the last couple of years. Knowing the car I was lining up against couple run faster than any 3 rotor 289 car had ever been (and it did over the weekend) I took a shot at the tree. This ended in tears with a red but also missing the two step so I had over 9,000rpm and 30ps...i in the first two gears. Sadly this became all too much for the clutch leading to a box full of neutrals. I have an awesome crew though so three days later the radiator is out being replaced, plans are underway to freshen the Direct Clutch that has performed Perfectly aside from when I abuse it and we are thinking about our next hit out. Thanks to all the race fans who made the winters enjoyable notwithstanding challenging conditions and especially my crew and family who work so hard to give me the chance to drive in my own unique way
20.01.2022 Looking forward to Sydney Jambo!
19.01.2022 Hi all We had fun on saturday night even if boost control issues limited us to 13psi and a 9.3@153. Still made us fastest vehicle on the grounds though I’m pretty sure We had traction issues each pass, the setup even with no boost being too aggressive for an unprepared street meet track. ... Back to the drawing board now and lots of work finding where the boost issue is..... Big shout out to Dave too for the moral support, awesome pictures and killer video!
18.01.2022 Something has appeared in the back of my ute Can't wait to smell this stuff again!
18.01.2022 Massive red light but ok for a shake down. Might have to throw some more boost at it considering we are a tenth in the sixty faster than we used to be but ten mph down due to the lower boost
18.01.2022 We are looking forward to a gentle Sunday drive this week with both cars. Come say hello if you are in the area!
18.01.2022 Can't forget this little weapon, now with Wilwoods all round
17.01.2022 Not long now! We've got a couple of hurdles to overcome between now and Jamboree to get the car ready but nothing that Pac performance and my crew can't handle!
17.01.2022 I might be the one in the car but it doesn’t happen without highly talented and committed people behind me! In this case I am the one in Sydney getting better at my day job!
17.01.2022 HI all, Here is some warm up footage from Friday's test session!
17.01.2022 Looking forward to this! I’ve had a few good rivalries with good blokes over the years...... Wayne Dyson... Po Tung Tim Kries Ben Hunt Just to name a few. Winning is important, having fun and doing your best against worthy opponents and enjoying the cars and the scene is also a buzz!
16.01.2022 It's always great fun hanging out with the boys and tinkering! Alvin has discovered BBQ and it's GOOD according to the Labrador! Henry likes the company! Next step after lunch, introduce the neighbours to 20b sounds!
15.01.2022 SPEEDWAY AUSTRALIA TRACK GRANT SCHEME 2019/20 Speedway Australia operated a track grant scheme in conjunction with QBE until 2017, when it was decided to pause ...the programme to maximise the reduction in track permit fees for all venues. We are now in the fortunate position where we are able recommence the track safety grant programme as well as maintaining those reduced track permit fees for the 2019/20 season. Speedway Australia is setting aside $50,000 for immediate improvements at affiliated tracks, with a particular focus on the following items that can lead to a reduction in public liability claims:- Safety netting smaller mesh to a greater height eliminates flying clay in spectator areas. These account for the largest proportion of claims over the last 20 years. Safety fences aiming for 3 star specifications at every track i.e. 1 metre of concrete, 50mm poles 3 metres apart and four 13mm galvanised wire ropes. Pit gates overall height to match the safety fence, structural solidity, appropriate latches etc Venue maintenance and design eliminate slips, trips and falls and other potential hazards So how do you apply? Speedway Australia intends to be proactive and Liz Weaver (Track & Safety Development) will get in touch with venues we think could benefit from this scheme, particularly those with issues around flying clay. There are no guarantees as $50,000 is a drop in the bucket of what could be spent on venue upgrades, but it is a start and we fully intend to derive maximum benefit from it. Other venues are also encouraged to apply if they have a desire to upgrade their facility in terms of the criteria above. You must include quotes for materials, as we will not fund the labour portion of any upgrade. We can approve a maximum of $10,000 to any one venue, but it’s more likely that grants will be in the region of $3000 - $5000. Applications Close 31 August 2019 If your venue needs upgrades over and above what we can afford, we strongly suggest you get in touch with your relevant Sport Development Officer who can help you apply for external grants. If you’re in QLD, NSW or VIC your contact is Adam Brook, and elsewhere it’s Ross Kirby who can be of assistance. #weareaustralianspeedway
15.01.2022 Old school transportation!
15.01.2022 Just getting some warmth in to the old Girl!
14.01.2022 Driver upgrade and an audit - our Nitros begins!
14.01.2022 Why has it got the doors open you ask? Because it is ready to fly! Big thanks to Jerry and Drew at Direct for a quick turn around, ASG Aaron for teaching us some new words refitting the transmission, the rest of the crew and especially My awesome wife!
13.01.2022 9.0 at 171 Rolled the beams when I brought the 2 step on so 2.1 in the 60. With our usual 60’s (car hooked up again thanks to Aaron at ASG), that would have been an 8.2. For a rich shake down to clear some butterflies and get a base line we are happy with that. ... A lot of fuel has been trimmed out and boost added in for the next one.
13.01.2022 Yesterday’s pass
13.01.2022 Best of luck to all those competing at the Jamboree this weekend! Stay safe and have fun! Unfortunately we haven't quite made the event so will have to live wit...h catching up with friends and watching the racing, and I get to drive my little Streeter up too! Massive thanks to everyone who has helped recently, from both expected and unexpected sources! Esther, Aaron, Trent, Mark, Dan, Lyam, Brandon, Mitch, Mitch, Luke, Dave and John I appreciate your efforts immensely! Harry, many thanks for today!!
13.01.2022 Enjoying speedway and seeing Sprintcars doing their thing - v8 dirt Modifieds and Amca’s last week! Next week
12.01.2022 Racing is a cool thing when it is enjoyed with friends!
12.01.2022 Another quiet Friday night!
11.01.2022 It’s getting so close I can almost smell the methanol over the tyre smoke!
11.01.2022 Let’s try this again
11.01.2022 Bring on Sydney Jamboree!
10.01.2022 We are planning on doing a little more racing this year so we felt it was time to upgrade! The ranger was a good thing that was Essie’s daily for a couple of years and a tow vehicle and went from new to 123,000km. The 2016 F250 Lariat with 39,000km should make the trip a little more comfortable though!
10.01.2022 2010 - 8.1 absolutely frying the tyres
10.01.2022 Seems that I still remember how to put down a smoke screen......
10.01.2022 It's been a while, like 5 years, since we had all 4 doors open on the rx2 but proof they do open! Unfortunately rain has beaten us already this weekend, but time to take the car to its new home where it can have cuddles on a daily basis I am looking forward to testing the car after so long out of the saddle and whilst work commitments will keep us out of the Sydney jamboree rescheduled date I am hoping to be able to run the winters - we will keep everyone posted!
09.01.2022 Drag racing is a pretty intense sport and things change pretty quick. We packed the car up yesterday without an issue, warmed it up today and seem to have found a slight water leak from the car (not engine related ). Now the boys have a thrash to get it sorted before our pass today and as always if we can’t make it safe we won’t run it.
09.01.2022 Great day yesterday! After not being started for 4 months in takes seconds to fire up happily on petrol to start with! Paul tells me at idle it measure 102db on unleaded not passing 3,500rpm!... The crew and I have a bit to do before racing but so far so good! Note Henry the beagles response. Alvin the Labrador is just out of shot nice and calmly enjoying it all! As always, big thanks to the crew!
09.01.2022 It’s amazing what you find doing a clean out...... Guessing not too many people have some of these Got a stack up at the house too, Christmas trees and national event runner ups. Drag combat, jamboree and compact attack winners and runners up down here. ... Powercruise 1 certificate too!
09.01.2022 Just about done with the tow rig now thanks to Gold Coast Car Sound, ASG motorsport and my friends and family! Also incredibly happy to have a supportive wife in Esther who encourages me every step of the way in my passions and seldom asks how much it costs
09.01.2022 Paul Hayward has been hard at work in his best safety boots getting the hoist ready! Now for wiring!
09.01.2022 After many years the roller door has been pulled down on the race/work shed and an angry 20b rolls out again. Now on to a new chapter
07.01.2022 The latest addition to the stable! This thing goes alright too, a touch better than the stock black VF GTS that went before it...... Big thanks to Dan and Rebecca for all your work behind the scenes to help out.
07.01.2022 Nice tidy shot!
07.01.2022 Getting the little green machine out and about pre Jambo! If you are in the area come see the Americans, some of the celebrity drivers and of course myself and some of my team of reprobates!
06.01.2022 This is our very short shopping list! Let the fun begin
06.01.2022 Won't be long after a massive night last week with ASG motorsport helping refit the freshened Pac performance 20b still with its original first gen billet plate (who says they don't last)!
04.01.2022 Having gone to Powerplay yesterday in the 7 I think I am still full of adrenaline! Paul has now shared this and I think Daniel has captured the RX2 around Sydney in an amazing way. Thanks as always to Gup who invited us to powercruise 1 and has supported rotaries since way back then, to my crew, to PAC and to everyone who has being associated with the car. ... Now let's go back in time 6 years, turn up the volume and hang the $&@? On
04.01.2022 Rocky having a go on the dyno with the lenco!
04.01.2022 Nothing better than buying new shoes for Christmas!
04.01.2022 Things are getting serious now....
02.01.2022 Looking forward to our next race meet. The team have got plenty to do between now and then between race car maintenance and repairs (RIP radiator), trailer construction and one more little surprise that will become apparent soon..... Look forward to seeing you at Jamboree for a little more smoking tyres and wheelstands and hopefully some great et’s.
02.01.2022 See my comments below but I think as a racing community we at times need to get with the program.....
02.01.2022 We made a brief trip to Custom Bodyworks today to thank Danny for the awesome work done on the RX2. Danny and his team have touched up years of battle scars, chopped guards and bent and buckled panels to have the car looking good as new not the 47 years old it really is! The best thing about the whole deal though is Danny has remained a champion of a bloke the whole team, even as he and his team win award after award!... Thanks again Danny and team!
01.01.2022 Nice stance in this photo I think The car launched very nicely for its first ever pass with some changes to the rear suspension set up thanks to Aaron from ASG motorsport and of course the mint methanol 20b from DJ Rock who has all the best tunes
01.01.2022 Happy Valentines Day!
01.01.2022 Thanks to Drag Import media a bit of footage from yesterday
01.01.2022 2016 Sydney Jamboree weekend begins!
01.01.2022 So the cats out of the bag. We are in Sydney and crossing our fingers for clear sky's tomorrow. It's been a while since we ran regularly but they tell me it is like riding a bike.... A really really really fast bike
01.01.2022 Some good footage here of our weekend as well as that of Anthony Daquino, Jason Both, Rodney Rehayem and George Rehayem. I reckon if nothing else we held our own in the skid comp and went ok wheel stand wise Looking forward to more seat time and more boost.
01.01.2022 So testing today with a purpose and starting to get back in the swing of things. Having not driven for a while I decided not to load the thing up top gear but to enjoy just being in the little green monster.
