General Practice Telehealth Phone Consultations: The Australian government has implemented a temporary, six-month National Health Plan under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS).... This allows people to access essential health services in their home while they undergo quarantine, self-isolation or to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for vulnerable people in the community. You qualify for this if you are: * Self-isolating or are in quarantine at home on the advice of a medical practitioner, in accordance with home isolation issued by the AHPPC, those who are suspected of COVID-19 infection after triage by the national or state COVID-19 hotlines or by a doctor, nurse or COVID-19 trained triage staff. * Over 70 years of age * Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander & over 50 years of age * Pregnant or have a child under the age of 12 months of age * Chronic health condition or immunocompromised PLEASE NOTE: Even if you do not qualify, you are still able to book a ‘Telehealth’ appointment as a private paying patient. You must have had at least one face-to-face consultation in the last 12 months. Please phone our wonderful reception staff for any further information or to make your appointment.
