30.01.2022 Oh, what a night! We were extremely excited to be presented with not one, but two awards at the Master Builders SA Building Excellence Awards last night. We took out the awards for Structure/ Envelope - Commercial, and impressively Master Builder of the Year - Specialist Contractor. Both of these awards were for our works undertaken at Lot Fourteen. It was noted by the judges that we performed extremely well across all vital contractual elements for the project, with a high ...standard of project quality and delivery, sound quality assurance and safety systems, and terrific relationships with all stakeholders involved. The judges were impressed by our consideration of environmental sensitivities and hazardous materials and our ability to adhere to tight contractual time frames, stringent environmental controls, as well as managing community and stakeholder engagement. It is humbling to be recognised by our peers in the construction industry, great work to everyone who had a part in the successful delivery! #winner #masterbuilderssa #teamwork #collaboration #construction #quality #safety

02.11.2021 On the 22nd of October, we banded together to support one of our employees Tracy, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation, by hosting a fundraiser. We had recently been affected by the news that Tracy has been diagnosed with Triple Negative Metastic Breast Cancer - Stage 4. Tracy bravely decided to share her story with us, in the hopes of raising awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The day saw us parading our best pink outfits, spraying our hair,... and our beards pink, and we even had Phil Bubner and Chris Latham shave their heads when we had raised a certain amount! To raise further funds David McMahon put it to the Divisional Managers if they sprayed their hair pink that he would donate $1,000 for each of them (totalling $8,000!). In the end, we raised $10,438.40, with a mix of online, and cash donations (Inc $4,000 from David and Andrew McMahon) for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Generously, David and Andrew McMahon also donated $4,000 directly to Tracy and her family to assist with the large medical costs. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for most people to be affected by cancer in one way or another, and our thoughts and hearts go out to everyone that has been affected, not just by breast cancer, but by any type of cancer. You got this Tracy, keep fighting!

16.10.2021 CCF Earth Awards Win! We are excited to announce our win in the $5 million to $10 million category for Hamilton Hill Stages 1, 2, 3A, 3C and 4 Remediation Works. The project involved the transformation of a former 100-year waste dump into a prestigious planned community in Woodforde, Adelaide, with an impressive 99% of all waste being repurposed into geotechnical fill or recycled off site. ... The project was complex and difficult to scope requiring multiple remediation strategies for differing contamination types and depths. We effectively crushed, sorted and segregated waste streams within the old dump site so that they could be repurposed and reused as geotechnically suitable fill material to allow the bulk earthworks and reshaping of Hamilton Hill and make it suitable for residential construction. Over a quarter of a million tonne of landfill waste was excavated, and all but three truck loads was reused or recycled. Congratulations to the project team and everyone involved! #construction #ccfearthawards #winning #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #team

22.09.2021 I would like to thank McMahon Services for the strong commitment in assisting Baillie Lodges through the first phase of the Southern Ocean Lodge rebuild. Your management and project team have performed with strong integrity, dedication and pride. From John’s and my perspective there is no constructive feedback to put forward, we would simply say ‘keep doing what you are doing’ Joel Walker, Project Manager, Baillie Lodges. A humble compliment after one of the country's wor...st disasters. Our team worked tirelessly undertaking the demolition and site remediation at the world-renowned Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island after it had been destroyed by bushfires earlier this year. The site has been cleared in preparation for its next incarnation, ‘SOL 2.0’! The owners are working with architect Max Pritchard who designed the original for the future design. There are still many hurdles to jump, and they are currently anticipating the new lodge will reopen in late 2022 or early 2023. #mcmahonservices #teamwork #ourpeoplemakethedifference #bushfirerecovery
