21.01.2022 First home buyer duty exemption - Is it worth the wait? Were all for affordable housing for first home buyers, however theres good reason to be wary of the supposed savings arising from the new changes to stamp duty proposed to start 1 July 2017. Whilst first home buyers can expect a complete exemption from having to pay stamp duty on established and newly built homes costing up to $600,000 (in addition to receiving the first home buyers grant), theres plenty of evidence t...hat these savings will drive greater market demand and increased lending - forcing prices to go up even further. If you are thinking of waiting until 1 July 2017 to reap the savings, many others will be thinking exactly the same thing. 20.01.2022 Property inspections have opened up and thanks to the lack of smashed avo brunch invites, you've saved yourself a deposit and are ready to buy. Make sure the sales pitch doesn't leave you skipping over the Ts + Cs. We've saved many an eager beaver from buying an absolute lemon of a property through our thorough contract and vendor's statement reviews. And then sometimes the property is an absolute winner, but the contract terms need tweaking to protect you in case somet...hing goes awry (finance, building inspection, settlement delays etc). 11.01.2022 A start up we ain't. Not at 45 years + strong. Beate started the firm solo as a 25 year old. Don't do the math, she says. To all the start-ups out there - we know how hard you're working to build your dream, and all the energy you're pouring in day after day. To all business owners, we know all too well the juggling act and the rollercoaster you can find yourself on. We've had those moments [hell sometimes weeks] when you wonder why you've made it so hard on yourself. But ...we've had far more moments when we look at what we've built, our community of clients, referrers, our team and the outcomes we've achieved and we feel proud, really proud. It takes a lot of guts, resilience and self preservation to survive in any business. Want to know what's worked for us?
