24.01.2022 Last year’s #SleepAtTheG drew more than 2,000 sleepers and raised more than $1 million to fund the redevelopment of Frontyard, which introduced to Melbourne a p...ioneering youth support service with 24-hour crisis accommodation. 12 months down the track, we are really changing lives for the better. Our integrated service model addresses the immediate and long term needs for young people at risk of long term homelessness. Part this includes animal-assisted therapy and music therapy. You’ve shown us what can be achieved when our community comes together for one night to support an ambitious vision. With your help, MCM will continue to create innovative solutions to help those young people most at need in our city. Make a donation today. http://bit.ly/SleepAtTheG2020 See more

23.01.2022 Dear Families, Just to let you all know that we will be sending FAQ’s shortly to keep you informed and answer all of the questions and concerns you have been sharing with us. In the meantime, if your child is sent home with a temperature, you must get a medical clearance in order for them to return to the service. Over the coming weeks we’ll be providing ongoing resources to empower and connect the community around each child in this difficult time.... Attached are some great resources for families self-isolating at home during ths time. 2. Strategies and resources for families 3. Activities to do at home with children Times of stress are difficult for children, parents and educators. Stress can bring out the best and worst in people and it’s important we work together as a community with kindness and empathy. We need to stay connected and care for each other as best we can during this time, especially for those isolated by Covid19. We also would like to offer support to our families in relation to the basic needs such as nappies, wipes and toilet paper. We have reached out to our suppliers and they have said they can help. If you would like to order nappies, wipes and toilet paper, please email me and I can add them to the order. It will take up to 2 weeks for the stocks to arrive so please be mindful and order only what you need, we will not be accepting any bulk orders. We will have set up a payment system where you can pay by credit card or eftpos. We will need to take payment on the spot for your purchase, so I will work out what the costs will be for you. As always, we are here to listen, help and support you all. Contact details: [email protected]

21.01.2022 At Hartnett House, we have a 4-year-old kindergarten program that incorporates children's interests and ideas by observing them through play. We work collaboratively with our families, to develop our summative assessments using our Child development forms during term 1 and term 3 when parent teacher interviews are taking place. 19.01.2022 Youth homelessness doesn’t stop for a pandemic. In line with Federal and State Government advice regarding COVID-19, MCM made the decision that our much-lov...ed flagship fundraising event #SleepAtTheG cannot proceed this year. Whilst our clients still need our support (now more than ever), this year we will be relying on fundraising without the event component that so many were looking forward to. Our work to support young people experiencing homelessness continues, including building a new youth refuge in Werribee. The outbreak of COVID-19 has impacted every aspect of our lives and the young people we work with are especially at-risk right now. They’re unable to self-isolate when they have nowhere to go. Donate today so we can continue to support some of Victoria's most at-risk young people. A donation of $90 allows our youth workers to purchase food for young people staying in one of our five youth refuges across Melbourne. Donate here: http://bit.ly/SleepAtTheG2020
