After completing 5 years of study at university, chiropractors annually need to renew AHPRA registration via an application process. ... This includes achieving mandatory Continual Professional Development points. Points can be reached through courses, seminars and like today, webinars. The first Wednesday of each month we are able to supply our practitioners with access to a webinar to help assist reach their requirement. However you are spending your Wednesday, we hope you stay warm!

23.01.2022 SURVEY RESULTS Our recent little survey showed that 73% of those that participated had heard of Spinal Health week before! We were honestly expecting it to tip the other way Love that majority of our audience have crossed paths with this little event in the past, and have hopefully picked up a few little education points along the way that has assisted with their health and wellness.... Spinal Health Week is an initiative of the Australian Chiro Association that focuses on a particular topic for all Chiropractors to collectively share information within their community. This year Spinal health week falls 24th-30th May, with the theme to Consider a Chiro for back pain. In the lead up to the week, we will be sharing some different points of information that you may not have heard before. The ACA is also running a colouring competition with prizes for those under 12years of age, so get on board!



23.01.2022 OPEN Today we are OPEN as usual...although we had planned on being closed for our six-month practice catch up. Being a multi-location practice we can go months without crossing paths with each other.... We use this as an opportunity for breakfast dates, additional education and learning from each other, with the purpose of improving our work environment for patients and staff. This time around we had arranged for a practitioner from a large multi modality practice to chat to the team. Social distancing and inter state travel restrictions have put a halt to that! A couple of hints below of what you can do through the day, to prepare your body for the best nights sleep:... Expose yourself to bright sunlight in the morning Let as much natural light into your home of work environment as possible Aim to exercise for 20-30minutes per day. 16.01.2022 SLEEP Its that time again! We are focusing on all things SLEEP throughout the practices. It’s as essential as food, water, sunlight and fresh air. ... Because it can have SUCH an impact on your overall health and wellbeing, we are going to dedicate a post a week with handy little tips and tricks over the next month or two. Kick starting our Sleep theme with a reminder to support your body’s natural rhythms where possible: Try to go to sleep and get up at the same time each night. Set a bedtime that is early enough to make sure you get at least 7 hours sleep Avoid sleeping in (even on weekends) If you are going to have a nap during the day, limit it to 15-20minutes in the early arvo. 15.01.2022 SHOUT OUT Today marks the first day of the GREAT AUSSIE HIKE! A concept that was developed as a result of a tough 2020. The program utilises evidence-based treatment for depression and anxiety; exercising in nature, goal setting and human connection. ... The lead up to the event saw people forming teams, picking a challenge (30km, 60km or 100km walk) and training together. For those that have followed along The Great Aussie Hike stories, it included a lot of beautiful scenery (like this from their insta page) and fun banter between the groups. So the next three days is the main event for all that training. Kick starting in Orbost today and finishing in Bairnsdale on Sunday. If you are participating or volunteering GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN! She has completed further studies in the area of pregnancy care and is a birthing advocate. ... Deanna has also completed her yoga teacher training in India, and uses this extensively in her treatment care plans for patients. Deanna first started at McMillan Chiropractic all the way back in 2007. She left to travel, be closer to family and open up her own practice in Port Macquarie. For those that have already attended one of her Friday morning classes, its obviously something she loves and is an absolute natural In August Whitney is hosting a 4 week Prenatal Program, specifically designed for expecting mums. The nurturing course is catered towards the ever-changing body through the trimesters of pregnancy. Such a lovely practice to recommend to a friend if you know someone who may benefit!

05.01.2022 THANK YOU Thank you to every one who attended our little yogi class last night. Originally booked in April, the same week restrictions kicked in, we feel like this class was a long time coming! ... The delay may have worked out perfectly though, was a nice little break from the silly season. Jill from Yoga Space Gippsland hosted the most relaxing class, that left us feeling like we were floating into the weekend. Was great to see a mix of patients that were regular yogis, to those trying it for the very first time. We have created some really lovely friendships with patients, so being able to catch up outside of work was a bonus. Happy Saturday
