24.01.2022 Closest job I'll ever get, fixing our rear fence, the neighbours big water tank was sitting on very soft ground slightly higher than our ground level, over 15 years it's slowly pushed the ground, 'retaining logs', fence posts over significantly. They contracted me to rectify this situation which I completely respect as it is the right thing to do for your neighbour when your property disrupts another's. Dug out 3x posts and formed up a thick reinforced slab for 25mpa Crete to make the posts solid and give the water tank (when full is well over 2T in weight) something to sit on and last a very long time. #mcmurrayplumbing #plumber #neighbours #fencing #crete #concrete #builttolast #morethanjustplumbing

17.01.2022 Relining. This sewer Junction under the garage concrete slab was almost completely missing! We managed to get a Junction reline down the stack access and bridge the massive gap to make our own new Junction from above ground. Client was stoked at how much we were able to do the job for especially in comparison to the other quotes. 35 year warranty on this reline, it will be stronger than the rest of the house pipes!... 12.01.2022 Upgrading a burst 135L gas water heater with a new 170L heater. Old tank only lasted 9 years, possibly because the limiting valve relief port was in the ground causing the pressure to be much higher than normal putting stress on the cylinder. New gas, water isolation/duo valve, pressure limiting valve, tempering valve. As standard for us it got a new isolation, pressure limiting valve and a tempering valve to make it legal and protect anyone getting burnt from scolding hot water. 05.01.2022 Japanese inspired space saving toilet with built in basin on top of cistern, when you flush it the water comes out of the spout, drains into the cistern, when it fills up it stops. No water wasted. 02.01.2022 Rebuilt a rusted out gutter with a couple of plastic angles by tucking one side up behind the old gutter and installing another piece on the front side of gutter, having the 2x pieces overlap and silicone joined them together, reinforced/held it up with some aluminium angle, sealed the gutter to the garage wall form above, installed a downpipe which old gutter never had, installed a rubber strip in front of the garage threshold to prevent ground water entering under the door. These weren't 'for good' works but were a cost effective solution thinking outside the square to give this amazing client a more dry garage floor and long term/temporary relief for a possible future sale of the property. #mcmurrayplumbing #plumber #rebuild #waterproof #morethanjustplumbing
