22.01.2022 Despite not being able to go to school, Sienna loves the school holidays as she gets to go on lots of walks and visit many parks. Sienna is quite the celebrity around Diamond Creek and often gets waves and 'hello's' from people that she has met along the way. Sienna has recently been showing her support worker Monica how she uses eye gaze technology to communicate. To use this communication method Sienna refers to a communication book with different options at the each of the corners of the page(s), she then uses her eyes to look at a corner which signals to the support worker which option Sienna wants!

18.01.2022 Recently, during his school holidays, Hithi was able to go visit the Collingwood's children farm and Lentils as Anything - a vegetarian restaurant in the Abbotsford convent. Hithi enjoyed seeing some goats at the farm and also got up close and personal with a peacock. At Lentils As Anything, Hithi was treated to some nice live background music whilst he ate his food - two of his favourite things!

13.01.2022 Mitch has a real connection with animals, he has spoken about how he feels very close to them. He was very excited to learn that Monica got some guinea pigs that he was able to meet. Mitch really enjoyed patting and hanging out with the Pascal and Ferdinand and is excited to see more of them.

06.01.2022 Hithi has a real love for water, so one of his support workers thought it would be a good idea to take him to the Rain Room in St Kilda. The rain room is an indoor room with rainfall pouring down from the ceiling everywhere except where you stand. Hithi was very hesitant at first but eventually went in and had a great time listening to, and playing with, the rain. He did move quickly around the room which resulted in him getting wet but it certainly didn't wipe the smile off his face.

01.01.2022 Recently, Mitch and his support worker Josh were able to go the Whittlesea colour festival. Mitch enjoyed getting drenched in lots of different colours, he especially liked it when people walking past threw colours onto him. The festival was in honour of the Hindu festival of Holi. When Mitch went to Sri Lanka he was hoping to participate in something similar so it was lucky that it came along to his doorstep!
