23.01.2022 This week we‘ll be taking you through 7 Days of Double Bay We had the pleasure of completing this renovation on an outdated apartment block on New South Head Road at the end of 2019 and into the beginning of 2020. We’re kicking off our 7 days with the new front entrance. This gorgeous marble slab, a new coat of paint and a deep clean has completely changed the aesthetic!

23.01.2022 Day 4 of 7 Days of Double Bay Second Floor Hallway and Staircase Spot the difference 1- no old school off yellow paint ... 2- no outdated brown carpet 3- no huge crack in the wall/ceiling on the landing leading to the third floor The space feels so much bigger and brighter now!

21.01.2022 Back to work! After some cherished time off with our families, the team at MCO are ready to go for what is set to be a huge and exciting 2021! Once again, we cannot thank you enough for supporting our business and look forward to serving you further.

16.01.2022 Day 5 of 7 Days of Double Bay We’re taking a break from the inside of the apartment to bring you: The Rear Stairs and Laundry A lot of patch work and repair took place to get the rear stairs looking their best. We used crack stitching to repair the large crack seen in the bottom left corner. This ensures the wall remains structurally sound.... In the laundry we stripped the walls of all cupboards and troughs after feedback that they weren’t used and that the residents were wanting more space. We had the pleasure of having @jrpelectricsaustralia on hand to help with the lighting on this project. John replaced these old lights with new sensor lights to try and minimise the buildings carbon footprint (as well as their power bill).

16.01.2022 Day 3 of 7 Days of Double Bay Ground Floor Staircase Can you ever go wrong with the timeless grey and white pairing? We certainly don’t think so!... As you can see in the comparison photo, we wrapped the carpet snuggly around the nosing of each step to provide a much more detailed look. Small things like this can make such a difference to the over all look you’re trying to achieve.

12.01.2022 Let’s talk waterproofing. This is one of our specialties and we love seeing these projects come together. This balcony had a failed waterproof membrane applied originally (not by MCO). We investigated and found that out through a flood test on the balcony and the obvious water damage to the internal walls and carpet.... We stripped back the balcony and removed the door and the hob. We then built a new hob, applied 2 coats of waterproof membrane with the screed between them so the screed was sandwiched and any efflorescence was contained. We replaced the old door and frame and finally sourced the hard to find tiles and tiled the area before throwing in a free carpet steam clean and water extraction to ensure the client and his wife (who was pregnant at the time) had the best possible service.

12.01.2022 Day 7 of 7 Days of Double Bay Recap Day! What have you enjoyed seeing the most this week? ... We enjoyed sharing this project with you all and showcasing what our fantastic team can do. We love what we do and we love happy customers even more! This is some feedback we received from one of the apartment residents: MCO were a pleasure to deal with through the entire construction process. The on-site team worked around us and left a clean site at the end of each day which was a huge help in our ‘live’ site. We were impressed be their professionalism, understanding of strata scheme buildings and nothing was ever too hard or done without a smile. This is a team that will really go the extra mile to get your project done right. We could not be happier with the outcome and the value added to each of our properties Tessa. 11.01.2022 Day 6 of 7 Days of Double Bay Top Floor Landing and Balustrade A lot of hard work went into the top level of the apartment building. A huge crack beginning in the middle of the window, leading along the wall and ceiling junction to the fire door on the opposite side of the building needed some serious crack stitching, but, we got the job done. ... In the words of one of the residents we have taken it from cheap to chic. @ Double Bay
