30.01.2022 MC Rodeo Company Bull Riding Practice Day Sunday the 12th December at our place 468 Raymond Rd Gunns Plains 2pm - All Welcome. If you are attending, you are required to take out APRA insurance (COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT) You must contact me by Thursday 9th with your member number and DOB so details can be provided to APRA. No exceptions. Bank details will be provided for payment to confirm your attendance. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS ... Day Members & Non-Financial APRA members - Senior $45 Junior $10 APRA MEMBERS - Seniors $15 Juniors $5 Juniors must also have a parent or guardian to sign a waiver before they will be allowed to ride. 12.01.2022 STATEMENT REGARDING INJURED BULL AT HOBART SHOW BULLS AND BARRELS As you may have seen on social media there was a Bull injured during the performance on Friday night. A 3 year old bull has injured his leg after the Bull rider dismounted by landing awkwardly on his hind legs.... The animal was removed calmly from the arena by bringing out his paddocks mates. The on-site vet immediately administered pain relief and sedation to the animal. Unfortunately once an assessment was made by the veterinarian the Bull was euthanised as it would not make a full recovery. A strict code of practice is adhered to when managing our Rodeo stock and we have National guidelines that are followed. No further comments will be made regarding the incident MC Rodeo Company

05.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR COWGIRLS GOWRIE PARK RODEO 2020 Hannah Jane Wyllie Junior Allround Champion Memorial Buckle ... This Buckle from Bob Berg Titanium is just beautiful, it will be a very happy Cowgirl that receives this award. Will be calculated on points earned from each eligible Junior event held at the rodeo, with the highest points being awarded the buckle. In the case of equal points it would be on Money won. Must be a female competitor Must compete (not required to place) in a least 2 different APRA Junior events (E.g. 22.12.2021 Ok folks. We need your HELP!!!! We have done all we can!!!!... We now need people to buy some tickets. We have spent hours coming up with a plan to make an event that will be able to run under COVID safe rules. We have spent hours looking across many miss-guiding websites, that are meant to make planning an event easy. Our President has spent countless hours working on a Covid safe plan to submit for approval. We have endured all the unhelpful comments about no camping, mask and being a seated event. We are happy to allow people to vent their frustration. We don’t like the rules either, but we are bloody well trying our best. We have spent years building the Rodeo up from nothing. We have spent days fundraising to run rodeos over the passed 20 years. But we can’t run a rodeo if the public doesn’t support it. Even though we are a small community group, the bills will need to be paid. So if you want to see rodeos in Tasmania survive Covid. You need to support the committees that do so much to make them happen. If we don’t sell enough tickets the Melton Mowbray Rodeo will not be held this year. Please save the rodeo. Please buy the tickets. Regards The MMCA committee.
15.12.2021 Well done to the team at Melton Mowbray going the extra mile to meet Covid Plan requirements to get this show on the calendar. At a time when the restrictions and paperwork can just seem too hard for public events they are doing everything they can to put on the event for the community. It may not be what we are used to but what is normal these days anyway Congratulations, can’t wait to Rodeo in November :)

12.10.2021 WE GOT ONE DONE!! Thank you A huge thank you to everyone that was involved in the running of the South Riana Bulls & Barrels on Saturday.... Congratulations to the South Riana Bulls and Barrels committee for the huge task on working through the COVID19 events requirements and mountain of paperwork to get this event on. Thank you to the competitors who supported the event, I know the crowd loved the entertainment you guys put on. To all the MC Rodeo Crew, personnel & volunteers, you were awesome as always. Bring on season 2021/2022
