21.01.2022 Welcome to day 2 of our marketing series. Today's focus: Social Media. Increasing social media engagement and building a community online is a free way to grow your small business while expressing your brand’s personality and building trust with your audience. Create business accounts and participate in the big social media sitesFacebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and more. This is something you can do whenever you have a few minutes to spare.... You can: Promote your blog posts, which drive traffic to your website. Directly dialogue with followers to express your brand voice and garner more engagement. Run polls and request feedback. Take excerpts from longer forms of content and create quick and informational posts that are easier to digest. Whatever your motivation, make sure you are regularly active and proactive on the social media accounts you create. Think consistency, community, collaboration, and commitment. #mdbcairns #mydigitalbusiness #socialmediamarketing

16.01.2022 One of the tasks that we often do when creating a new website build is that of content writing. But do you know of the little tricks that go with the English language to make it a little easier when trying to choose the correct word? Take, for example, COMPLIMENT vs COMPLEMENT which one is right to use in what situation?... The Difference Use the "i" version for when you say something nice. EG You gave her a compliment by saying she looked very professional. Use the "e" version to enhance something's status. EG That wine will complement dinner.
16.01.2022 Welcome to day 4, Hashtags! Another free marketing tip that can broaden your reach is to incorporate hashtags into your social media postson Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok for sure but also for Facebook and LinkedIn. Broad or trending hashtags can help you reinforce your brand identity, but they should not be the only hashtags you use. More specific hashtags (sort of like long-tail keywords) are good for when you’re providing resources or advice. Location-based hashtags are ...a must if you’re a local business. And don’t forget custom hashtags! Apply a mix of hashtag types in your posts so they can reach the people for whom they are meant. Please feel free to reach out if you need more information.

09.01.2022 Sorry for the delay in posting the marketing ideas for 2021. I must admit I have been a little slack. That's no excuse, so without any further ado, Day 3: Tagging, (things that start with @) not to be confused with Hashtags (things that start with #) This is a great FREE way to enhance your reachability on social media. ... Tagging loyal customers or even neighbouring businesses on social media can broaden the organic reach of your business to a new potential audience. Tagging helps you grow your following, and potentially even attain more clients. You should also encourage your followers/clients to tag your social media handle or business location in their posts. Eg: a client could purchase a dog collar from you, they post an image on their socials with their furbaby wearing it and tag your business, simple and easy. It can also work when you share their posts with their tag (with their permission of course)
