Bicentennial Park CHELSEA Thames Promenade Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm Location: At the Rotunda An email has already been sent out to participants who are eligible for our distribution. 21.01.2022 ***EVENT UPDATE*** The Women in Super Mother's Day Classic fun run and walk is going virtual in 2020! Have fun, get active and help raise funds for breast cancer research. MDC Virtual 2020 in an interactive event experience inviting all Australians to be a part of our virtual online community, ensuring that the Mother's Day Classic family remains connected in these uncertain times.... The MDC Virtual 2020 program will include inspiring community and fundraising content, fun photo competitions, fitness videos and dancing competitions. There will be a series of exclusive wellness tips and tutorials, pilates and yoga classes, sponsor prizes and giveaways and a fun kids activity zone something for everyone! You’ll be part of a virtual online community, ensuring that the Mother’s Day Classic family remains connected in these uncertain times. We challenge participants to walk or run 4km - anytime, anywhere, in your living room, at the local park or even in your backyard - on or before Mother’s Day 2020. 20.01.2022 We are proud to call the Women In Super Mother’s Day Classic an Australia-wide celebration with participants from all corners of the country coming together to ...support a cause that affects us all. The Mother’s Day Classic wouldn’t be the same without our local hosts and volunteers around Australia who champion the Mother’s Day Classic in their local community. In 2019, we had 78 local events hosted by our wonderful volunteers and although this year looked a little different, we are on the lookout for local champions to help us celebrate Mother’s Day Classic Local in 2021. 19.01.2022 The Mother’s Day Classic Foundation is looking for an Assistant Graphic/Digital Designer (paid position) for 2-3 days a week starting early December, until mid-...May 2021. We have flexible working arrangements and while we’d love you to join our team in Melbourne, we are open to working with designers remotely. Candidate requirements: - Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator to create graphics for both print and digital formats - Experience all the Microsoft programs, especially PowerPoint - Experience editing websites using a CMS would be valuable - An understanding of designing for marketing emails - Excellent communication, ability to time manage and work with a wide range of stakeholders Please email a brief CV and a selection of previous design work to Kate via [email protected]

Participating with a team really is something special, even if you are apart on the day. 06.01.2022 Hear how your donations are making an impact Cardiovascular disease is now the leading cause of death among breast cancer survivors, but it is possible to red...uce risk through specialised exercise rehabilitation. This is usually provided within supervised clinic-based programs, but these are often difficult to access due to time, travel and cost barriers. Home based programs have not been as effective as supervised exercise therapies, likely due to a lack of real-time encouragement and customisation. Tele-rehabilitation could bridge this gap by enabling direct supervision by a clinical exercise specialist while the participant completes therapy in their own environment. Online applications and wearable heart rate sensors allow an exercise session to be monitored in real time anywhere with internet access. This approach has previously been proven to be effective for people with heart disease, but NBCF-funded researcher Dr Camille Short will be researching how it can be used effectively with women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
