10.01.2022 For Melbourne to move to the Third Step in easing restrictions, the 14 day rolling average must be 5 new cases per day or less. With the first possible date for easing being 19 October 2020, the 14 days started yesterday. New cases recorded yesterday and today were 9 and 15 respectively. In order to have a 14 day average of 5 or less on 18 October 2020, Melbourne must have an average of 3.8 new cases per day over the next 12 days. Likely?
