23.01.2022 A happy customer in kings park! We were called to install a new retaining wall after his not so old retaining wall couldnt stay up right properly due to poorly concreted posts and not being deep enough. Had it of been installed correctly the timbers had another 10 years on them. ... We removed and disposed of the old retaining wall, and removed excess dirt. The new retaining wall was installed using 2.1m length, 100mm wide galvanised posts and treated pine sleepers, we installed agi pipe and backfilled with blue metal rock to release pressure and manage water flow from behind the wall We also installed a little concrete extension path to the walk way Dont pay twice, get it done right the first time with MDM

What was done: - Removed existing retaining wall and excess dirt in ground - constructed new retaining wall using galvanised steel upright posts and 200mmx75mm H4 treated pine sleepers - installed pop up irrigation system and drain pit... - laid new premium turf underlay and certified sir Walter buffalo turf Even if theres right access into your yard or its got extremely hard ground our guys will still be able to get the job done for you in good time and with a quality finish

Well we never really left but we were quiet on Facebook while we focused on work and staying safe We hope everyones been well and staying safe during these tough times While weve been away on social media heres a job we recently completed ... A big yard cleanup and full garden landscape - We cut and removed all the vegetation - excavated the entire yard and removed roots from the previous trees and weeds - constructed garden beds with premium garden mix soil, plants and mulch - supplied and laid buffalo turf on premium steamed lawn underlay soil with slow release fertiliser for new lawns You may notice in the front and back of right side house that theres a dip in the turf reason for this is to meet the requirements of the plane there must be a 100mm deep swale along the side of that house And as always once all our work is done we give it all a nice good clean No job too big or too small, at MDM we follow all plans and customer requirements to the highest standard. 14.01.2022 After performing a dye test for this customer we found there to be a leak from the base of the shower on a second story bathroom, it didn’t help that the fall of the base was to the door and not to the drain. So we removed the floor tiles and first row of wall tiles to find it full of water under the membrane We applied a coat of epoxy then two coats of waterproofing agent creating and strong and durable containment area to hold the water Installed the tiles with a strong fall as customer requested and it was back in use in no time! :)

12.01.2022 Yesterdays paving repair, the pavers had collapsed below their level and the side pavers had come loose, all pavers were removed back filled and levelled with sand cement mix to keep a strong support. 11.01.2022 Re-levelling 100 square meters of classic terracotta in castle hill Full of dead vegetation and a whole lot of roots, we removed it all and cleaned it all up. We then backfilled the entire area with 2 parts river sand and 1 part cement giving it a nice strong foundation Finished it off with a large pile of washed Sydney sand brushed over the top and left for a week to fill in the spaces between the pavers and secure it all in place

10.01.2022 This is how shallow this retaining walls posts were in the ground they should be at least 900mm in the ground they seem to have only been less than half the required depth Ensure all your work is done by a licensed company

10.01.2022 Balcony upgrade This balcony in Dural was leaking water into the living room below it, by the look of the grout, tiles and amount of silicon between them it seems as though theyd tried to fix it a few times but had no luck. We removed the tiles, tile bedding and the old water proofing membrane that was damaged. We applied epoxy primer along the base of the balcony, 2 layers of oil based water proofing agent under the tile bedding and 2x layers of water based water proofing ...agent above the tile bedding, and finally tiled it all giving it a beautiful finish Give us a call for all your water proofing needs

09.01.2022 Water leaking? First thing we need to know is where is it coming from? In this case our customer had a water leak showing in the room below their concrete staircase which seemed to be coming from the cracks on the concrete stairs, structurally it was safe and secure for usage but a few decent sized cracked in both the silicon edging and concrete caused the water to sneak through into the room We sealed up all the cracks and waterproofed the entire staircase :)

06.01.2022 What a day! 14 and a half hours and were finally packing up! Had to sneak in some preparation for tomorrows water proofing, here were putting a layer of epoxy and let leaving it to dry before applying two more coats of water proofing agent tomorrow Note: we only use Australian made products and provide a 6 year warranty on waterproofing

03.01.2022 Another paving repair for a lovely customer in St Ives, travertine pavers in a French pattern This couple only had it installed 4 years ago and it has already collapsed and caused uneven ground. the person that installed this for them seemed to have used left over material for its foundation, they used some pebbles some road base and some dirt each area contained something different and it was only about 30mm deep The good news is we excavated and redid the foundation to meet... Australian regulation and levelled the ground compacted it and payed the existing pavers Now the lovely couple can have their minds at ease knowing the tripping hazards are gone!
