Mountain District Musical Society is delighted to announce the opening of auditions for it’s May 2022 Production of Les Miserables. Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The epic tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption is set... in nineteenth century France against a nation in the throes of revolution. This new production of Boublil & Schönberg’s legendary musical, Les Misérables is a true modern classic based on Victor Hugo’s novel showcasing exceptional singers and features one of the most memorable scores of all time and beloved songs I Dreamed A Dream, On My Own, Stars, Bring Him Home, One Day More, and many more. It has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history. 19.01.2022 The MDMS committee is saddened to announce that our June 2020 production of Oklahoma! has been postponed due to the currently unfolding COVID-19 crisis. We feel that continuing with the production at this stage is simply too high a risk to our hardworking cast and crew, as well as our valued audience and to the company itself. MDMS is currently in discussions with Karralyka and Origin Theatrical regarding the rescheduling of this production to a new date.... If you have already purchased tickets through the Karralyka website you will be contacted directly. Notice is hereby given and a warm invitation to all, to attend the Annual General Meeting of MDMS (Mountain District Musical Society) to be held on: Thursday, 26th November, 2020... Via Zoom videoconference (Link to be provided on request via email to [email protected]) Meeting will commence at 8.00pm For Nomination/Proxy forms, Membership forms and further information on committee positions, please see our Website: https://mdms.org.au/ You must be a financial member of MDMS to nominate for, and/or join, the committee, the yearly membership fee of $40 must be paid prior to the AGM if not currently a member. Please ensure all transfers for membership fees are completed no later than 2 days prior to the AGM.
