23.01.2022 MDTC Christmas Party - Save the Date!! On November 28th from 4pm, the Club will be hosting drinks, nibbles and live music for its members in the upstairs bar and balcony area. The bar will be opening at 4pm and food will be served during the afternoon to cater for both social and competitive players coming back to MDTC after away games. One of our members, Nick Deegan will be providing live music from 4:30 6:30pm! All social tennis and competition members are welcome to join in and celebrate the coming festive season.

23.01.2022 Competition Tennis As expected, Tennis SA has informed us that all competition tennis is cancelled this week with expectations that it will be back on next week. MDTC Xmas Party - Time Changes & RSVPs Required Despite the forecast of 40 degrees for Saturday, November 28th and no competition or organised social tennis, the MDTC Xmas Parties are still going ahead! Please rally your teammates and hitting partners and celebrate the festive season. ... IMPORTANT - To ensure compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, please RSVP to [email protected] and state whether you are a social or competitive player. Note the amended event times below. Social Tennis Xmas event 3:30-5:30pm in function rooms 2 and 3. Competitive Tennis Xmas event 5:30-7:30pm on the balcony and in the foyer. Live music, food and drinks will be enjoyed by all!

22.01.2022 While Next Gen remains closed for now, the ease of restrictions enables MDTC Members to play on the tennis courts. The courts are open 9.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Saturday. Access is through the Next Gen overflow car park only. There will be no access to the Next Gen Club or inside the Pavilion (as well as the outside pool area). Here is everything you need to know before hitting: Bookings must be made online through the Next Gen Club Lounge. Bookings are staggered to ensure a ...gap between groups. Please leave the court immediately upon the conclusion of your booking time in consideration of the next players. All activities are subject to the restrictions of 1 person per 4 square metres and social distancing of 1.5 metres per person. Only people core to playing should attend tennis activities such as players, participants and coaches. Please arrive and leave as close as possible to when you need to be there. Players must bring their own equipment. Please do not have more than four balls on court with you. Please bring your own full water bottle as there are no working water fountains. Toilet facilities are available by Court 10 as well as the Pavilion. Please wash/sterilise your hands before and after you play and avoid touching your face while playing. Senior Winter Pennant Competition is looking to commence Saturday 13th of June. Stay safe and we’ll see you on the courts! Best wishes, MDTC

21.01.2022 What an unusual season this has ended up being unfortunately, cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. All 29 MDTC senior teams should be proud of where they ended up on the ladder in the various leagues. We hope you can all celebrate with your teams when life returns to normal.
